Industrial Water treatment:
Experience in industrial water treatment, effluent treatment plants and
reverse osmosis plants. Proficient in operation and management of industrial
water treatment plants. Principals include filtration, dissolved air floatation,
classifiers, open and closed cooling systems and heat exchangers, large-scale
De-ionized water production and basic water chemistry to prevent scaling,
corrosion and biological control of process water.
Rotating equipment:
Expertise lies in large centrifugal pump sets, single and multi-stage pumps,
extensive experience in mechanical seals for pumps, high-speed fans both
radial and backward curved impellors, high speed knifes and mechanical
drives, heavy gearbox drives and hydraulic torque converters.
Boilers:
Both Coal and Gas fired steam generation systems, all regulatory legislation
associated with Pressure Equipment Regulations. Proficient to inspect and
test steam boilers, certified by Mechanical Engineers Institute of the Western
Cape. Experience in medium pressure John Thompson boilers, high pressure
feed pumps and controls.
Compressed air systems:
Experience in Centrifugal and screw compressors. Trained in centrifugal
multi stage compressors, experience with Joy and Ingersoll Rand 3 stage
machines. Experienced in single and duplex Ingersoll Rand screw
compressors, driers and general air pressure reticulation.
Furnaces:
Experience in steel re-heat furnaces, gas fired processing furnaces re-co-
operators, gas fired kiln rotary driers and gas burner equipment. Registered
SAGPA natural gas installer under the SANS 329 regulations. Exceptional
experience in gas fired car bottom furnaces and incinerators from conceptual
design to commissioning.
Refractory Materials and Insulation:
Experience in major refractory brick installations, installation of stack and
burner chamber arched bricks, castable materials, pre-formed refractory
installations and ceramic fibre module systems. Also ceramic fibre and foam
glass insulation systems with both aluminium and stainless cladding.
Processing lines:
Experience in an array of processing lines varying from high-speed paper
mills, cold mill steel processing lines through annealing and pickling, CNC

hydraulics, mechanical drives and machine design, electrical automation and

Acid storage and processing:
Experience with exotic materials both ferrous and non ferrous forthe
