INTRODUCTION
• In globalization era, disaster such as heat
wave and water pollution could be major
drawback to agriculture since most crops
needed a perfect condition to grow healthy.
• This project help farmer to water their plants
and to monitor the soil condition regardless
of where and what time the farmer wanted.
• Besides that, it also help to reduce the over
usage of water in order to save water and
also use electrical energy harvested from
the solar panels.
• So, the focus of this project is to develop an
automated watering system powered by
solar energy using the IoT technology in
order to move forward to more efficient,
sustainable and eco-friendly system.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
In traditional agriculture methods,
plants are watered by farmers
themselves either turning on the
water sprinkler or using water pot
and this method may lead to over
or under watering since no
measurement are taken.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
To design an efficient
automated crops
watering system that
helps farmers to monitor
and water plants. To create an application
that notify farmers
regarding the soil moisture
and the automated
watering system.
To study the
sustainability and
effectiveness of solar
energy that use to power
the whole system.

This project is subjected to focus its study on agriculture sector and made
for watering plants. Besides that, this project should implement to area that
have high potential to harvest more solar energy.
SCOPE OF STUDIES
BENEFITSAND CONTRIBUTION
With the development of this project, farmers can water the plants from
distant without had to worried if they over or under water the plants. Other
than that, it is also economical since it reduces the usage of electricity from
the electrical company or supplier by using solar energy.

EXPECTED OUTCOME
 In this project, it expected to water with

receive from soil moisture sensor.
 Therefore, this project will help to maintain
the growth of plants and reduce water
usage.
 Lastly, help farmer to monitor the soil
condition and reduce farmer workload.

CONCLUSION
This project will come out with a solar powered agriculture monitoring system
using IoT to help farmer to water their crops and monitor their crops field
anywhere and anytime they wanted. Thus, reduce farmer workload and reduce
