INTRODUCTION TO THE IDEA
eMechanic is a digital platform where the motor mechanics
and vehicle owners will come to contact. It is an app where
the vehicle owners can contact to the mechanics by keeping
his location ON. By just opening the eMechanic app
customer will get the information about the availability of
mechanics who are ready to provide service.
A Start-up Idea has to answer the
following questions :
 What is your idea?
 Why do you want to do this?
 Why this idea specifically ?
 How do you want to do it?
 How will you make money?
 Why will the customer pay?
 What is your Unique Selling Point (USP) ?
Why do you want to do this ?
•Due to time constraint- When we are travelling
and suddenly our vehicle breaks down, we face
so many problems due to lack of information
about the availability of mechanics in a
particular area. Its really a huge loss of time.
•Generating employment for the new motor
vehicle mechanics .
•Exploring new areas with a security in mind.
The app will show the availability of mechanics
in the road to destination.
Why this idea specifically ?
We know that there is an availability of mechanics in
every area. But we always have a perception that
mechanics are only found in the garages. So I want to
remove this perception and make people understand
that mechanics can provide services everywhere. So my
tagline says “ Yes We are everywhere “
How do you want to do it ?
By following steps:
 By making an app which would work with the help of GPS.
 By having a contact with the students of motor vehicle
mechanic department of ITIs to know what are their views
about it and asking them to register in the app.
For Advertisement:
 Having a contact with the dealer of vehicles induce them to
influence the customers to download this app.
 Using electronic media, specially television by making video
ads.
 Hope ‘Word of Mouth’ will be the main advertising weapon.
How will you make money ?
 Mechanics will have to register themselves on the app by
just paying a nominal fee.
 If it become successful I can make money through ads
on my app.
 Inducing customers to pay the amount to mechanic
digitally which will bring some amount of commission.
Why will the customer pay ?
 The app will reduce the time which customer spend on
searching mechanics. They can digitally contact and ask
the mechanic for the service.
 Reducing the cost- Earlier customers have to go to the
garage or mechanics shop for taking the service. As we
know its very difficult for a customer to take a broken
down vehicle to garage as it involves huge cost.
 People now can travel to any place with a confidence in
mind as they can check the status of availability of
mechanics in the way to the destination.
What is your Unique Selling Point (USP) ?
The app will contain a button named as emergency. If the customer
is in emergency state or running out of time he can press the button
in the app and the mechanic will be present within 30 minutes. This
is the commitment for the fast service by my company.
Extension of the Idea - Selling
second hand vehicles in the app
There is always a perception of the society that people
use to sell used vehicles because it might have been
deteriorated or damaged. So to counter this perception
the mechanics will issue an e-Certificate to the Seller
which will signify the condition of the vehicle. For this
the seller has to pay the mechanic. Thus the company
will make a commitment about the conditions of the
vehicle and ease the selling of the vehicle as compared
to OLX, or QUIKR.
