2. Audience feedback is important, you
are aiming for a specific
demographic group so want to
ensure they would like your product.
As well as this, consider watching
your film themselves.
Audience feedback would
help me understand my
target audience better and
what they would like to see
in my media product.
3. Questionnaires
After I finished my final draft for my
teaser trailer, poster and magazine I
created a questionnaire. Questionnaires are
a useful way of collecting feedback because
you can use open and closed questions
depending on the answer you would like.
These are the main topics I included in my
questionnaire?
• The conventions of my trailer
• Whether they follow the conventions of horror
trailers
• The colours used for my poster/magazine
• Fonts and layout of magazine and film poster
• The sound and lighting in my teaser trailer
• Rating my products out of ten
5. Nowadays in the media industry collecting data and information
is carried out using technology and social networking.
Using technology is more efficient and effective in the media
industry as it is quicker to process and gather information to
a mass audience, as well as this, the results or data collected
can be stored easily on a drive, database or computer.
I decided to use social networking to receive audience
feedback as well as questionnaires so I could send questions
to my friends and family about my products no matter where
they are and receive a reply within hours.
6. After reading the audience feedback I
learnt that my products were good and
appealing to my target audience but a
few tweaks were necessary, I have
used the typical conventions of horrors
in all my products, as well as the sound
and lighting associated with that genre.

8. At the beginning of my coursework, I had a brief
idea of what I wanted in my film poster, film
magazine and teaser trailer for my target
audience as I am within the age bracket, but it
is essential to get ideas and feedback from
other people so I could have a commercially
successful product on a whole. Gaining
feedback from other people is useful because
they may see a minor error that you may have
overlooked, for example a spelling mistake or
font size.
