With this being the first IFAT conference / Expo within Africa, Interwaste was keen to be the waste management company that
came forward with their latest innovations within waste management, showcasing information on their integrated service
offerings - highlighting the innovations in waste to energy. This was executed through individual panel segments on Landfill
Gas, Anaerobic Digestion, Refuse Derived Fuels, and Waste Derived Fuels. The event required the activation of PR pieces and
interviews (which were conducted simultaneously at the Interwaste private boardroom, held inside the exhibition stand),
management of the stand and service providers, content development and publication as “take home” items, hosting of evening
“networking sessions” held in the evenings on the stand, placement of bins around the expo to create the initial point of contact
to drive audience to the stand, as well as the management of social media, namely LinkedIn.
Budget : R 600’000.00
Audience: All in attendance at the expo, including a variety of International guests, and media houses.

I wanted to personally congratulate you on your efforts at the first ever IFAT Africa exhibition this past week.
The exhibition is an international showcase for global service and technology providers in the environmental sector
and Interwaste were exceptionally well represented and without a doubt the most professional. The overall concept
of the show and the promotion of our waste to energy technology was an ideal opportunity to demonstrate our
technical ability as well as promoting the new service offering. The stand attracted a lot of attention from the right
people which, other than cementing our brand positioning in the local and international market, will no doubt
translate into the acquisition of customers and additional revenues. In addition to the stand the PR campaigns you
ran on both the digital (LinkedIn) and media platforms add the overall effectiveness of the exhibition ensuring that
the business realises a return on the investment. Once again, thank you for your efforts, you definitely “shot the
lights out”, without your management of the overall process I do not believe that we would have had such a
positive result. Congratulations and well done.
