Once upon a time, there was a poor old man who had three daughters. He said:
• My three daughters are for marriage, but I am poor.
• What shall I do? What will my daughters do?
• We do not have enough money even for their weddings.

A priest called Nicholas heard this. He thought to himself:
• I earn enough money. I have money to help.
• I can help. I will help this poor man and his three daughters.
• I can give them little bags of gold. But I want to do this in
secret. If they know I am the helper, they may give them back
to me. I do not want people to give me back the presents.

He continued:
• Now I see they are putting their stockings to hang near the
chimney.
• I will drop the bags of gold through the chimney, and they will
fall in the stockings.

This was done. The three sisters woke up early. They saw the presents and said:
• There is money in each pair of stockings. Now
our situation is stable enough. We can marry.

And now Priest Nicholas is called Saint Nicholas. He is also known as Santa
who gives away presents on Christmas.
• Conclusion: Dear children, Santa is very
busy, and now he gives away presents to all
people over/around the world. So, ask him for
simple things.

What I can learn from this lesson is:
• Modal verbs: shall, will, can, may;
• Present Simple, Present Continuous, Future
Simple in the lines in blue – declarative and
interrogative sentences, some negative
sentences too; Past simple (only declarative
sentences) is in the sentences in red.
• Usage of “enough” with nouns and adjectives;
• Usage of “each”.
