5. Tiered Payroll for Sage 100 & 100c
Starting May 1, 2016, Sage will be changing their renewal, pricing
and maintenance fee structure for the Sage 100 payroll module.
The payroll module will be removed from the yearly Sage 100
maintenance fees
The new payroll pricing will be subscription based and include the
same payroll processing capabilities but reflect tiered pricing
based on the number of “active” employees for which a company
will process payroll.
Existing payroll clients will eventually be migrated to the new
payroll subscription based on the # of checks

We understand that customers delay update for several reasons
Upgrade costs & downtime
ISV & customization compatibility
You should be prepared to upgrade at a minimum once every 3
years
15. Tiered Payroll for Sage 100 & 100c
If you no longer use payroll, there are options depending if you
need to inquire on the payroll data in your current installation
If you no longer use payroll, you should contact your account
manager who can provide the options you have from opting out
of payroll subscription to making a “backup” installation
