3. Method
79 eyes underwent cataract surgery ( 2-4 density) by same
surgeon Dr.Nicola Canali MD
we develop a «consistent» marking of refractive axis
Patients received slit lamp limbus marking
A preoperative corneal topographic limbus marking was
performed as repere
Correction of axis of implantation was practiced referring
to repere
The surgery took place with the Centurion
phacoemulsification in peristaltic mode
All eyes were implanted a Ophtec ®Precizon Tooric IOL,
with transitional conic surface, hydrophilic Acrylic,
aberration 0 Ꙡm, 2,2 incision
A pre-operative, post-operative, 1-month refraction
evaluation was made

4. IOL Power Calculation

6. A more effective marking of the corneal before surgery can achive good
results in correction of astigmatism
Conical transition IOLs assure perfect calculation in power due to online
calculator.
Visual digital intraoperative alligment of axis could improve refractive
results
Intraoperative aberration could reduce mistakes
