Shoot is one of the 'top 26' start-ups in the Mass Challenge 2015 UK cohort. Here are the top 10 things we achieved during the 3 month accelerator program.
Shoot (www.shootgardening.co.uk) is one of Mass Challenge Top 26 start-ups in the 2015 UK cohort.
We achieved ten key things during the 3 month Mass Challenge accelerator.
With Mass Challenge’s sponsor Crowdcube we raised our first round of funding. We were fully funded in two weeks and hit our maximum of £500,000 for this round. Many of our investors are also members which we are very proud of. The last funds came in 6th of August from the London Co-Investment Fund.
Since the funding came in on the 6th August we have begun building a team and advisory board.
We reached some exciting milestone – including reaching 90,000 members.
Another milestone was reached when we added our 20,000th plant. All plants are requested by members and added by experts.
We launched a mobile web version of the website
With a Mass Challenge advisor we implemented Intercom which allows us to track per member activity which in turn allows us to …
… send targeted emails to each member based on action or in-action
We developed our 8 month product roadmap and detailed wireframes for the initial product enhancements to our Professional service offer
We also worked with another Mass Challenge advisor to improve our Google rankings
Finally we were delighted that Crowdcube helped us to secure great press coverage in the The Sunday Times and Guardian. We have also been asked to speak at a number of events including The Landscape Show and the David Robinson Memorial Lecture hosted by Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board. Nicola is the keynote speaker talking about ‘Creating a Successful Horticulture Community on line’
