ASSESSMENT CENTER RESULTS
Assessment Center Feedback for Nicole Kollar
Overview of Your Assessment Center Feedback
This report provides a summary of your performance during the assessment
center that you recently completed. The information contained within this report is
for developmental purposes. In order for you to MAXIMIZE the usefulness of the
feedback, PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.
The report format goes from more general to specific. This means that as you go
further into the report, there are more details. In Section 3, you will see the rating
items used and the ratings received for each of the videotaped activities in which
you participated (i.e., the presentation, the CEO selection meeting, and the
customer service meeting).
The feedback you are about to receive is divided into the following sections:
• Section 1: Assessment center performance by skill dimension
• Section 2: Assessment center performance by activity
• Section 3: Detailed assessment center performance for recorded activities
• Section 4: Assessment center performance for In-basket activity
• Section 5: Performance results for ethics and leadership
A Note about Your Assessment Center Scores
Multiple trained raters observed your behavior from the videotapes and the
memos you wrote during the assessment activities. These ratings were then
aggregated to provide a series of scores comparing your performance to more than
10,000 other students who have completed the same assessment process. You will
see results grouped by skills exhibited as well as the activities in which you
participated. All scores have been converted to a 5 point scale (with 1 being low
and 5 being high) for ease of interpretation.
Assessment Center Feedback for Nicole Kollar
Section 1: Assessment Center Performance by Skill Dimension
Below is your performance feedback for each skill area. During the assessment center,
you were provided multiple opportunities (e.g., speech, CEO selection meeting,
Customer service meeting, In-basket) to demonstrate the skills being rated.
The table below summarizes your scores for each skill area assessed. The score is a
ranking of your score compared to how well others displayed this skill (i.e., higher
numbers indicate better performance). These scores range from a low of 1 to a high of 5.
Assessed Skill Description
Self
Assessment Score Gap*
Initiative
Actively attempting to influence events to
achieve goals: showing self-starting
actions rather than passive acceptance.

identifying possible causes of problems,
and making decisions that reflect factual
information.
5 5 0
Organizing
Establishing a course of action for self
and/or others to accomplish a specific
goal.
5 4 -1
Communication
Effective expression in individual and
group situations. Includes both verbal
and nonverbal forms of communication
as well as written communication from
the in-basket.
5 5 0
Teamwork
Fosters collaboration among team
members by showing respect for others,
encouraging open expression of ideas,
and contributing to the overall
effectiveness of the team.
5 5 0
Note*: Small errors in gap calculations may exist due to rounding

Section 2: Assessment Center Performance by Activity
Recall that you completed four activities during the assessment center:
CEO Selection Meeting
Customer Service Meeting
3-Minute Presentation
In-basket Activity
As was true with the skill area feedback, the percentile is a 1-5 ranking of your
score compared to how others performed on this activity (i.e., higher numbers
indicate better performance).
Activity Name Assessment Center Score
CEO Selection Meeting 5
Customer Service Meeting 5
3-Minute Presentation 4
In-Basket 4

Section 3: Detailed Performance for Recorded Activities
There were three recorded activities. The three activities included:
CEO Selection Meeting
Customer Service Meeting
3-Minute Presentation
Raters then rated the video and the values in this section are those ratings. These
values are provided on the next page to give you detail as to what you did well and
what areas could be improved. The numbers to the right of each behavior
represent the degree to which you performed (some positively and negatively) the
behaviors. To interpret the numbers, use the following guide. Note that not all of
the behaviors use the full rating scale (-1 to 2*). The behavior range assessed is
located in the parentheses to the right of the behavior. An explanation of each
rating value is as follows:
-1 = behavior was performed negatively, it detracted from overall performance
0 = behavior was not performed at all or performed at minimally acceptable level
1 = behavior was performed once or in a moderately positive manner
2 = the behavior was performed more than once or in a strongly positive manner
*In one case for the speech a -1 to 3 scale is used because the 3 represents a count.
Finally, the letters next to the parentheses for each behavior correspond to the
specific skill being measured.
I = Initiative
D = Decision-Making
O= Organizing
C = Communication
T = Teamwork

Section 4: Performance Ratings for In-Basket Activity
The in-basket activity required you to organize, prioritize, and respond to a set of
memos. Your responses were read and these responses were assessed. Here again,
the comparison group consists of students who completed the exact same in-
basket as you. The scores on the in-basket can have a significant effect on your skill
scores and you should look at this feedback to better understand how your in-
basket performance impacted your other feedback areas.
Performance
Measure
Description Score
Work Pace
Memos you completed versus the number of memos
completed by the comparison group. This score is a
percentile ranking. Completing more memos than
others positively influences your initiative score and
also increases your organizing score because a high
work pace is a sign of being more organized.
84
Attention to Detail
There were 7 memos requiring a heightened attention
to detail. Of these, you attempted: 3
This attention to detail score represents the relative
number of correct responses you had when
heightened attention to detail was needed (e.g., you
caught the error). The score is a percentile and
compared your performance to that of others.
38
Prioritization
This score represents how well you prioritized your in-
basket. It is the number of important memos you
completed relative to other people and is presented
as a percentile.
69
Writing Quality
This score ranks your writing quality against the
comparison group. You earned points for writing
memos that a) contained correct grammar and
spelling, and b) were written in paragraph form with
complete sentences. Writing more memos gave you
the opportunity to earn more writing points. It is
presented as a percentile and your writing quality had
a significant impact on the communication skill area.

Section 5: Results for Ethics and Leadership
In addition to the feedback given in the first five sections, students receive some
basic feedback about their ethical decision-making and leadership. These scores
did not factor into the percentiles or any other feedback presented in the first five
sections - it is intended as supplemental feedback only. As a consequence, when a
percentile is shown below, it is based on a comparison to the more than 10,000
people who completed the exact same activities as you.
Performance
Measure
Description Score
Absolute Ethical
Focus
This number represents a simple count of the number
of memos that you addressed in the in-basket that
had ethical dimensions. There were a total of 6
memos that were considered to have a significant
ethical component. The number at the right
represents how many of these 6 memos you
attempted.
3
Relative Ethical
Focus
This number uses the “Absolute Ethical Focus” and
compares it to other people. As a result, this number
is a percentile comparing the number of ethically
significant memos you addressed compared to other
people.
71
Ethical Sensitivity
This score is a percentile representing the points that
you earned by making decisions in an ethically aware
manner. Even if you did not respond to any memos
where ethical concerns were significant, you can still
receive a score here because making ethically
unaware decisions counted negatively for this index.
As a result, even if you earned no points on the
ethical index, you outscored people with negative
scores.
72
Leadership
Emergence
The raters provided a global rating of the number of
meetings in which you were viewed as taking as
leadership role. Thus, the number at the right is a
simple count. The minimum score here is zero and
the maximum is two.
