  2. 2. INTRODUCTION As companies reorganize to gain a competitive edge, HR plays a key role in helping companies deal with a fast-changing environment and the greater demand for quality employees. Human resources is basically that department of the company which is in charge of hiring process. their work involves finding the prospective job applicants, sorting them according to the requirements, screening them, recruiting them after testing them and then providing them appropriate training according to their job role and finally administering employee-benefit programs. A HR department is an essential department of any organisation, regardless of the organisation size. It focuses on enhancing the productivity of the employees in the organisation and also protecting the company from problems arising out of the workforce. HR responsibilities include compensation and benefits, recruitment, firing and keeping up to date with any laws that may affect the company and its employees.
