On 1st December 2014, Deutsche Telekom along with hub:raum organised the Wearables Innovation Network event that
gathered together the best wearable startups along with many leading players and partners of Deutsche Telekom including
Adidas, Samsung, Bayer, and BMW among others. hub:raum was responsible for selecting the 12 most innovative and
disruptive wearable startups including Muse from Canada, which won the prize for the best startup during the event.
Now, we at hub:raum, being excited about the wearables future decided to prepare a WIN Report that includes 40 of the
most promising startups in the wearable sector. This report is intended for investors & partners that are in the scope of the

Reemo is a wearable, wrist-worn device that enables the use of gestures to control other
devices. The product requires no programming and is ‘out-of-the-box’ compatible with
thousandsofdevicesandover2millioninstalledsystemsusingtheOpenHomeAutomation
Standard. The Reemo system includes the Reemo wristband, a hub, and receivers that
work with common devices found in the home, office, and other environments. Reemo
was designed with seniors in mind, empowering them to age gracefully and remain in their
homes longer. It also provides activity monitoring providing data and peace of mind for
caregivers and loved ones.
WEES, UK
Wees is a module that once placed on the wrist is able to learn and recognise different
finger gestures. You can then control your technology by simply flicking your fingers. An
app for every smart device will be downloadable to set up the gestures and adapt the
control to your needs. The app will be provided with a keyboard for gestures.
SENTRI, USA
Sentri is a smart home product that provides DIY home monitoring and automation in one
elegant solution. Sentri comes pre-loaded with an HD camera and built-in sensors track
the home’s vital stats and trends, allowing users to track temperature, humidity, air quality,
weather and more. Sentri’s stand-by screen is customisable to include the information you
always want to see.
KEEN HOME, USA
Keen Home is an intelligent heating and cooling vent. Use your smartphone to take control
of your air flow. Or sit back and let our Smart Vents sense when its gotten too hot or too
cold, then adjust automatically to keep your entire home confortable. Keen Home’s intuitive
interface allows users to elegantly create custom temperature zones to enhance comfort
or efficieny.
POINT BY FORM DEVICES, SWEDEN
Point is a smart house sitter. It listens to the sounds of your home, sense what’s in the air
and lets you know if anything is wrong. It’s for people who want peace of mind - without
cameras at home. Point combines sound and sensor data to recognise events you care
about, like windows breaking, alarms sounding, or the presence of smoke. Point requires
no wires and connects over the WiFi. It comes with a speaker and lights to communicate
with people in your home.

SENSE BY HELLO, USA
Sense is the first system that combines the insight of your sleep patterns with the data of the
environment in your bedroom, including noise, light, temperature, humidity and particles in
the air. With Sense’s Smart Alarm, it can even wake you up in the morning at the right point
in your sleep cycle, to avoid that groggy feeling we all hate so much. All easily available via
our iPhone and Android applications. We had a very successful Kickstarter campaign with
$2.4M raised, which confirm the great interest of consumers in our product.
MOTHER BY SEN.SE, USA
Mother and the Motion Cookies are a family of smart sensors that you can set in two
minutes to perform the functions you want and that you can change as often as you need.
Small and slick, the Motion Cookies can be affixed to almost anything and can be used to
detect the presence of the object or a person and measure vital stats such as temperature
etc. Our USP is our software, which includes apps with gamification experience, which
makes Mother fun to use.
TAIL, POLAND
Tail is a solution to an age-old problem: how to take better care of your beloved pet.
Let’s attach a clip to the dog’s collar, that will read its health-signs and behavior and
pair it with an app that will provide you with advice, not data. The clip tracks four things:
activity, temperature, heart rate and location. The app takes all that data and based on a
methodology developed by dog trainers and behaviorists, crunches it and provides you
with tips and simple, easy to implement advice on how to take care of your beloved dog.
AWAYTEAM, ISRAEL
Awayteam is a wearable communication platform built for command & control, connecting
teams wit realtime rich data, handsfree, giving the command level eyes in the field, and
allowing inter-ageny collaboration. Future vision of Awayteam is to create Internet of Teams
where everyone will be able to collaborate seamlessly.

At Bragi we developed The Dash, world’s first wireless smart in ear headphones with 1000
songs playback capacity, performance tracking, and body sensors. Movements like pace,
steps, cadence, distance are tracked, and heart rate, oxygen saturation, energy spent
are measured, all while real-time acoustic feedback is provided: even without the need
of a smartphone. We are proud to have run the most successful European crowdfunding
campaign by raising $3.2M on Kickstarter.
PULSEON, FINLAND
PulseOn is a wrist device that tracks your heart rate continuously, but it goes beyond
tracking. PulseOn tells you what your heart rate means. We make heart rate monitoring
easier than ever, for you to reach your potential. Also it tells you about your training intensity,
training effect, elapsed time, distance, time, and tracked speed.

Amiigo is a fitness tracking bracelet measuring specific exercises, reps, sets, heart rate,
and calories burned. Amiigo makes health management more fun, simple and social. It
usesaninnovativesensingtechnologypoweredbyproprietarydiscriminationandmachine
learning algorithms. Amiigo tracks a wide variety of resistance and cardio activities. As
long as the activity is repetitious and continuous, Amiigo will find the activity and track
reps, duration, form, consistency, speed and calories. Today’s version of the Amiigo is best
suited for traditional gym activities and machines.
HEXOSKIN, CANADA
Hexoskin’s 100% textile biometric clothing captures body metrics including heart rate,
breathing rate and acceleration. The Hexoskin shirt offers an easy and more natural way
of regularly capturing precise data in real performance contexts. Made to fit in the life of

First V1sion is a new patented high-definition video system enabling the players’ field of
vision to be shown in sports where this was not possible before: basketball, football, tennis,
athletics etc. First V1sion integrates a camera and a radio transmitter into competition shirt,
while also using pulsometer and an acceletometer to bring to sports fan more information
than ever. It’s completely invisible to the audience, imperceptible to the player and shows
in real time, without delay, the player´s view. We are proud to be approached by Euro 2016
for the use of our shirts during the opening ceremony.

Digitsole is a connected insole on the market controlled via your smartphone - warm
your feet, track your distance and calories. This innovative foot product is designed for
your health and comfort. Available on Android and iOS, the dedicated Digitsole app is
connected to your insole with Bluetooth 4.0 so you can warm your feet and track your day
with one easy click.
LECHAL, INDIA
Lechal (lay-chull, “take me along” in Hindi) is the world’s first interactive haptic footwear.
Available as a shoe or an insole, Lechal footwear began as an academic project that aimed
at harnessing haptic technology to aid the visually-challenged. Today, Lechal is a fashion
and lifestyle brand that specialises in disruptive innovations that smoothly integrate into
the everyday.

medical technologies for cardiac prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation.
SCANADU, USA
Scanaduisbringingasuiteofhealthdiagnosticsproductstomarketthatenableconsumers
to better diagnose many common ailments with the power to monitor and measure their
health. Healthcare market needs tools, just like the mobile market needed a mobile phone.
One of the tools will be the medical Tricorder, inspired by Star Trek. This device is used by
doctors to help diagnose diseases and collect bodily information about a patient.
MUSE, CANADA
Muse is a brain sensing headband to exercise your brain. If you want to build your strength
and endurance, you can do repetitive physical exercises like running or walking. Similarly,
to improve a specific cognitive skill like attention, you can perform a repetitive mental
exercise and reap the benefits over time. Muse is the mental equivalent of a treadmill, which
helps you exercise your brain with focused attention training. It improves your attention by
training you to become aware of your distractions quicker and react faster to regain focus
on what you’re doing.

Qardio changes healthcare with smart solutions you wear. Qardio provides actionable
insights and presents them brilliantly to us, our families, and our doctors, through elegant
wearable devices for everyday use: QardioArm and QardioCore. They can make the routine
in-person doctor visit more efficient, helping health professionals focus where it is most
important.

BitBite is the first wearable device that monitors and improves how you eat. BitBite is a
revolutionary wearable device meant to track, analyze and change the way you eat. When
you slow down, chew more and eat at regular intervals. Improving your nutrition, you’ll
feel better and shed those extra pounds. The BitBite ear clip is worn in the ear every time
you eat. Contains a microphone and additional sensors that record and perform initial

Cityzen Sciences is a French company created in 2008 that specializes in smart fabrics
conception and development. Fabrics are embedded with micro-sensors enabling the
monitor of the wearer’s temperature, heart rate, speed, location, and acceleration. Cityzen
Sciences leads an industrial fabric project, Smart Sensing, carried out by a consortium of
companies strongly supported by BPI France.

The Bellabeat System enables pregnant moms to experience the joy at listening to their
unborn baby’s heartbeat and share their experience with their loved ones through the
social media or intimately. With innovative sound visualization, tool for counting fetal
movements, vibrant illustrations of fetal development and a tool for tracking and planning
the pregnancy weight gain, the Bellabeat App allows mothers-to-be to connect with their
yet unborn baby in an intimate and dynamic way and find information on how to lead a
healthier pregnancy.

At Sentimoto, we are creating a wearable device and web-platform to help seniors
understand and manage their lifestyles. Health and activity data automatically collected
from our users is put into context by sensing their environment. The data is interpreted
by our analytics technology and is sent back to the user to give them an insight into their
well-being. Our users may also wish to share their data with their support network, who are
alerted if anything happens.
MIMI, GERMANY
Mimi is building the next-generation of hearing enhancement products that break away
from conventional offerings. 360 Million worldwide are suffering from hearing loss. But just
1 out of 4 people is treated. By leveraging and combining latest technology with science
and design, we are transforming the experience from discovery, buying and fine-tuning
and make hearing technology more accessible, affordable and attractive.

mySugr helps diabetics by making therapy data collection appealing and data analysis
useful. Members of the mhealth company mySugr themselves have grappled with the ins
and outs of their daily diabetes therapy since childhood. To make everyday therapeutic

friend with a strong personality, but also a certified medical device. The mySugr app helps
through easier and more appealing data logging, a smart interface and clever analyses of

CARIQ is a connected car platform connecting cars to their owners, service providers and
the infrastructure around them. Based on a patent pending technology, CarIQ is able to
collect, collate, analyze, and present the complex engineering data from a car into a useful
and simple format for the end consumers. Car owners now understand how their cars are
performing, how they can save fuel and avoid pollution by proper maintenance of their
cars. Service workshops can provide a higher level of service by connecting to the car
remotely and providing timely help to the owner.

Carista is a consumer-targeted mobile app for automotive diagnostics and customization.
It checks your car’s health, reset warning lights, customize driving experience: dashboard
appearance, warning dings, auto headlights but also enable features that were disabled by
the manufacturer. Carista has been founded by an ex-Google and ex-Amazon developer
with experience in mobile development & project management (and a huge car nut!). They
are also helped by co-founders Teres Capital and joined by 2 developers with experience
from SAP & HP.

Automatic is a Smart Driving Assistant that can save you money on gas, remember where
you parked, and even call for help in a crash. Their mission is to empower drivers with
knowledge about themselves and their cars so they can be safer and drive smarter. We
believe you shouldn’t have to buy a new car to have a better driving experience, and that
the phone in your pocket can bring the future of driving to today’s automobiles.
NAVDY, USA
Fumbling around with your phone while driving is at best a bad experience. Navdy is a
Head-Up Display (HUD) for your car that let’s you use all the apps you love while keeping
your eyes on the road. You can think of it as Google Glass for your car but without the
Glasses. Navdy works in the car you already have, simply place it on your dash and connect
wirelessly to your smartphone.

coModule brings Tesla to light electric vehicles (LEVs). We enable the end customer to
connect with their vehicle and the manufacturer to connect with their customers. coModule
is an OEM software and hardware platform for LEV manufacturers. The real electric vehicle
revolution comes from bikes and scooters. They kill all main anxieties people have with
adopting to electric: range anxiety, security by allowing tracking the vehicle when stolen,
and battery lifetime information.

Automile is the platform connecting drivers with their cars’ data via smart mobile based
OBD II device to get the best of their driving and budget, available in 53 countries. Automile
PRO - for Businesses, electronic vehicle trip logger to keep control over your fleet, vehicle
health and ensuring tax compliance. Automile FREE - for Consumers to manage your car
and driving data simply, securely, all in one place while earning personalised and useful
rewards.
CLOUD YOUR CAR, POLAND
Small business owners have no tools for managing and monitoring their fleets and their
drivers. Sure they know that fleet operational costs are high but don’t really know what are
the particular reason behind that. Cloud Your Car is a Internet of Things startup. Cloud Your
Car is a SAAS based on a custom, state of art, piece of hardware. The Car Plug is an activity
tracker that fits a standard cigarette lighter socket sending live data through 3G. Works
24/7 unattended. Car Plug is a driving coach, teaching defensive driving rules through
instant feedback whenever inefficient driving behavior was detected.
HIGH MOBILITY, GERMANY
Thewaypeopleinteractwiththeautomobileisevolvingandtheyhavetakenthefrontrowfor
the changing car-centric lifestyle. High Mobility is a Berlin and Tallinn based startup solving
car interaction with contextual connectivity. With their core competence in technical design
and engineering they have created a scalable wearable architecture that can touch the very
heart of the vehicle with their unique toolkit (SDK).

Sentri’s stand-by screen is customisable to include the information you always want to see. KEEN HOME, USA Keen Home is an intelligent heating and cooling vent. Use your smartphone to take control of your air flow. Or sit back and let our Smart Vents sense when its gotten too hot or too cold, then adjust automatically to keep your entire home confortable. Keen Home’s intuitive interface allows users to elegantly create custom temperature zones to enhance comfort or efficieny. POINT BY FORM DEVICES, SWEDEN Point is a smart house sitter. It listens to the sounds of your home, sense what’s in the air and lets you know if anything is wrong. It’s for people who want peace of mind - without cameras at home. Point combines sound and sensor data to recognise events you care about, like windows breaking, alarms sounding, or the presence of smoke. Point requires no wires and connects over the WiFi. All easily available via our iPhone and Android applications. We had a very successful Kickstarter campaign with $2.4M raised, which confirm the great interest of consumers in our product. MOTHER BY SEN.SE, USA Mother and the Motion Cookies are a family of smart sensors that you can set in two minutes to perform the functions you want and that you can change as often as you need. Small and slick, the Motion Cookies can be affixed to almost anything and can be used to detect the presence of the object or a person and measure vital stats such as temperature etc. Our USP is our software, which includes apps with gamification experience, which makes Mother fun to use. TAIL, POLAND Tail is a solution to an age-old problem: how to take better care of your beloved pet. Let’s attach a clip to the dog’s collar, that will read its health-signs and behavior and pair it with an app that will provide you with advice, not data. The clip tracks four things: activity, temperature, heart rate and location. The app takes all that data and based on a methodology developed by dog trainers and behaviorists, crunches it and provides you with tips and simple, easy to implement advice on how to take care of your beloved dog. AWAYTEAM, ISRAEL Awayteam is a wearable communication platform built for command & control, connecting teams wit realtime rich data, handsfree, giving the command level eyes in the field, and allowing inter-ageny collaboration. SENTIMOTO, UK At Sentimoto, we are creating a wearable device and web-platform to help seniors understand and manage their lifestyles. Health and activity data automatically collected from our users is put into context by sensing their environment. The data is interpreted by our analytics technology and is sent back to the user to give them an insight into their well-being. Our users may also wish to share their data with their support network, who are alerted if anything happens. MIMI, GERMANY Mimi is building the next-generation of hearing enhancement products that break away from conventional offerings. 360 Million worldwide are suffering from hearing loss. We believe you shouldn’t have to buy a new car to have a better driving experience, and that the phone in your pocket can bring the future of driving to today’s automobiles. NAVDY, USA Fumbling around with your phone while driving is at best a bad experience. Navdy is a Head-Up Display (HUD) for your car that let’s you use all the apps you love while keeping your eyes on the road. You can think of it as Google Glass for your car but without the Glasses.
