Senior Procurement Representative - Development and deployment of local procurement strategy.
Procurement and commercial lead developing. Implementing, managing and deployment of a large
capital expenditure strategy for various water projects, not just in the UK but overseas projects.

construction materials, site services, capital expenditure for several constructions projects.
Responsibility for the commercial relationships with supply chain suppliers and subcontractors for
each category.
Full tender process responsibility from cradle to grave to deliver the needs of their internal customers
SCM within the Dwr Cymru - Welsh Water (DCWW) Alliance leading and developing the Client’s
business objectives. Heading up a procurement team from various alliance partners. Deliver client
service level agreements and KPIs
Lead Auditor for B&V Wales
Responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Assurance activities and the Quality Management
(QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS). Ensuring site compliance to standard
operating procedures and company policies. Responsible for auditing approved vendors and
suppliers to ensure appropriate quality and regulatory requirements are being met.

Senior Procurement Officer
 My current role has developed from both the Senior Buyer’s and SCM roles detailed below.
 Project procurement within Project Centre West (UK) for B&V. The area includes the Welsh
water, Severn Trent and South West Water Authorities, covering various clean and waste
water projects ranging from £500k to £19m.
 With my 22 years of experience within SCM I have regularly provided guidance and support in
other regional project centres.
 Supplementary duties for this regional role consisting of:
o Resource management
o Project procurement support
o SCM Strategy development
o Team Leader for Office Based Staff
 Documentation Control Specialist and Internal Auditing (detailed below).
Supply Chain Manager (Secondment to DCWW)
The DCWW Alliance consisted of several partner organisations made up of the client, cost
consultants process design and civil design Engineers, committed to the partnering philosophy to
delivery Welsh Waters Asset Management Programme 3.
My Role was to manage and oversee:
 The initial concept stage through to implementation of Supply Chain Management Strategy
and Action Plan.
 Developed and managed a change programme involving all Amp3 contractor and supplier
staff, which was implemented primarily through liaison with Partner organisation ‘Supply
Chain Managers’.
 Link Alliance operations with those of the customer
 To manage the costs arising within the external supply chain
 Look for initiatives that drive down costs.
 Develop a solid supply chain structure
 Implement continuous improvement programmes.
 Manage the relationship with the Alliance supply chain management team.
 Manage the relationships with our customers and act as the customer facing contact for all
supply chain development activities and initiatives.
 Provide support to the Project Teams on delivering successfully projects.
 Developing and Manage the forecasting activities of the Alliance Spend
 Manage the relationship and support the internally facing Supply Chain team.
 Devising the scope and objectives of each of the contractors individual change programmes,
 Ensuring adequate resourcing of individual change programmes and monitoring progress
against targets
 Develop Alliance standard SCM Procedures and documents

Additional Information
I have a young family and I enjoy spending my free time with my three sons. I am part of the coaching
team for the local junior football team, providing training and refereeing for their team matches. I
regularly have to attend courses for football coaches and work closely with my colleagues to
encourage and nurture the enjoyment of the young members of the team. I enjoy spending time with
my family at the coast, I have (up until recently) been kite boarding and surfing. I have enjoyed my
interest in fitness and weight training attaining an NVQ coaching qualification for weight training and
am currently a committee member of DCWW on site Gym.

I am part of the coaching team for the local junior football team, providing training and refereeing for their team matches. I regularly have to attend courses for football coaches and work closely with my colleagues to encourage and nurture the enjoyment of the young members of the team. I enjoy spending time with my family at the coast, I have (up until recently) been kite boarding and surfing. I have enjoyed my interest in fitness and weight training attaining an NVQ coaching qualification for weight training and am currently a committee member of DCWW on site Gym.
