  3. 3. 3 sigsauer.com General Safety Information W WARNING Safety is the number one concern when working with firearms. • Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction at all times. • Never allow live ammunition to be brought into the maintenance/cleaning area. • Verify that the firearm is unloaded and clear prior to performing any maintenance. • Do not touch the trigger unless the procedure requires you to do so. • Always wear safety glasses with side shields when performing maintenance. Setting Up A Safe Work Place Having a proper work area to install this kit will help ensure success and reduce the chance of damaging the firearm. A solid workbench with a bench mat, and a properly mounted vise with a mag well block will help free up your hands for installation.

  7. 7. 7 sigsauer.com REQUIRED TOOLS DESCRIPTION QTY T15 Torx Wrench 1 1/2” Wrench 1 2MM Hex Key 1 INSTALLATION Mounting the TANGO6T riflescope to a SIG SAUER ALPHA Mount Unscrew the mount screws with the provided T15 Torx tool and remove the mount ring top caps. Place the riflescope inside of the mount and reinstall the top caps. Tighten the mount screws to finger tight. You will adjust these fasteners again later.
  8. 8. 8 Place the riflescope on top of the desired weapons system. Set your approximate eye relief by moving the mount forward or backwards in different Picatinny slots. Optimal eye relief is 3.8” for the 1-6x24MM scope. This is the distance from the ocular lens to the shooters eye. Applying light pressure forward and to the left on your mount, tighten the 1/2” hex bolts to 1/4 turn past hand-tight or 65 in-lbs. Now you can slide the scope forwards and backwards inside of the mount to set your fine or final eye relief. A. Level your riflescope inside of your mount with the reference line located on the front lefthand side of the maintube. This reference line matches up with the top of the mount base. B. The four screws which hold the mount top cap together should be tightened in an ‘X’ pattern using the provided T15 Torx wrench. Take care to make sure the gaps on either side are kept even, the screws should be finger tight plus a 1/8 turn or 25 in-lbs. 1 2 3 4 A. B.
  9. 9. 9 sigsauer.com OPERATION Installing the battery TANGO6T riflescopes are equipped with illuminated reticles and require CR2032 batteries. To install the battery loosen the battery cap on the left side of the riflescope turret. Place the battery into the battery compartment with the plus side facing outward. Screw the battery cap down snug to ensure optimal sealing of the battery compartment.
  10. 10. 10 Illumination brightness settings • Pull illumination lock ring out to change brightness settings • Select the illumination brightness level that suits your conditions the best • Higher power settings are better suited for brighter conditions • Lower power settings are better suited for low light conditions • Brightness level settings alternate between on and off locations • NV2 is the brightest Night Vision setting, with NV1 being the lowest Night Vision setting • Push illumination lock ring back in to lock
  11. 11. 11 sigsauer.com SIGHT ADJUSTMENTS Focusing the reticle with the Diopter Adjustment Ring Aim the riflescope at a light object or wall to maximize the contrast of the reticle. Turn the diopter until the reticle comes into focus. Adjusting Power TANGO6T riflescopes are variable power. In order to increase the power setting rotate the power selector ring clockwise. Turn the power selector ring until the image is magnified to the desired range.
  12. 12. 12 Installing the throw lever Loosen the set screw on the provided throw lever. Slide it over the eyepiece onto the middle of the Power Select Ring. Tighten the 2MM Hex to 5 in-lbs.
  13. 13. 13 sigsauer.com Bore sighting With the rifle in a firm rest, remove the bolt from your rifles action (with AR style rifles remove the rifles upper from its lower assembly and remove the bolt carrier). Look through the rifles barrel from the rear of the rifle and aim it so that your target is centered inside of the barrel. Without moving the position of the barrel, use the elevation and windage adjustments of your riflescopes reticle so that it is also in the center of the target.
  14. 14. 14 Point of Impact (POI) corrections POI corrections should be done using the center of a three shot group. If you are not able to get a consistent three shot group then you will need to further troubleshoot your firearm. If your POI is located to the left of your point of aim (POA), you will need to adjust the windage to the right. To move the POI to the right turn the windage adjustment dial counter-clockwise. To move the POI to the left turn the windage adjustment dial clockwise. If your POI is located below your POA you will need to adjust the elevation adjustment dial up. To move the POI up you will need to turn the elevation adjustment dial counter-clockwise. To move the POI down you will need to turn the elevation adjustment dial clockwise. Once your POI is located where you want it in relation to your POA you can remove your adjustment dials and reset them to zero. Once you have reset your zero you can put the caps back on your adjustments.
  15. 15. 15 sigsauer.com Resetting the Zero of your adjustment dials Both the elevation and windage adjustment dials of TANGO6T riflescopes are able to be zeroed. This is done by loosening the 2MM set screw on the top of each dial. Remove the dial from the scope and rotate it until the 0 marker lines up with the adjustment indicator line. Tighten the 2MM set screw on the top of the dial to 6 in-lbs. Take caution during this zero reset procedure not to rotate the actual adjustment settings as this will shift your desired POI.

  30. 30. 30 TROUBLESHOOTING POI changes between groups • Check that all of your mounts are tightened to the correct torque specification • Check/Clean your rifle • Check for variations in ammunition Illuminated reticle does not work • Check that the battery is installed correctly • Replace battery • Ensure that the illumination power selector ring is in an on position
  31. 31. 31 sigsauer.com MAINTENANCE Your SIG SAUER riflescope requires very low maintenance. • If your riflescope came with an illuminated reticle make sure that you turn the illumination control to one of the off positions when it is not in use. • If the battery for your illuminated reticle is dead, replace it by rotating the illumination battery cap counter-clockwise. Replace the battery with a new CR2032 battery positive side facing out. • Keep your lenses clear by using a soft cloth or lens pen. The best way to maintain image quality is by keeping your lenses clear of dirt and dust that cause scratches.
