DESCRIPTION : We are Developing a multi device
interactivity application for Model Academy (A prestigious
Schoolof MIER Group).The Application will be targeted on
mobile as well as web platform and cater the interaction and
communication between management,teachersand parents.
The Technology to be used for this Project is
Microsoft.net (ASP.net) as Front End and MS SQL Server as back
end. The application will also have an Mobile Platform Module
for Android
Introduction
The Communication in the schoolis presently in a manual
mode where the communicationsare carried out through
student dairies or phone calls. But we intend to build a strong
platform that will enable real time communication and
interaction for teachersand parents right on their mobiles.

• Results on Mobiles: The students can enquire about
results on Mobiles through this Mobile Applications
• Alert System:The administrator will able to send alerts
to users in case of any meetingsusing this method.In
this module we will interface the Alert Module where
in all the alerts will be sent using Mobile Application
Class & Faculty Schedule:Using this module a student
can enquire about a particulars days schedule and a
particular teachersschedule using Mobile Application
Significance of Project
The projectwill be of great benefitto students and faculty.
1. Parents will have facility to get Results/Dairy
Entries/Transport Alerts/Fee Alerts etc. instantly using SMS.
2. The departmentalauthoritiesand faculty will have facility
to send notifications, results etc. to students
7. Advantages
• Parents Remain Upto date on their wards progress without
visiting the college premises.
• In case of some meetinginstead of personally calling each
and every person, a single alert can be sent to all the
concerned people as notification.
• The most importantaspect is faster communication between
all entities in an institution.

information which provides necessary help to the teachersof a

1) In this project,user can add, modify, search or delete a record.
2) User can also add or search information related to new or
existing student.
3) The record of the student gives the required information of the
student.
4) This projecthas been structured to provide efficiency in
operation and easinessin handling of a database.

The system in which working is done on a paper with
human hands.
DRAWBACKS OF EXISTING SYSTEM
It is difficult to cope with large no. of records.
It is difficult to modify a record at any time.

The faculty finds difficulty with the storage of large
amountof database.
It is very time consuming.
Searching, updating and deletion are not easy tasks.
The chancesof errors and mistakes are more.
This system is not able to provide effective management
reports.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
With the advent of computers,manualdatabase system is
replaced by computerized database system.It combinesthe
features of both computerhardware and software. It meanswhen
we install the software for database manipulation own to
computer,we get the computerized database system. The
computerbased information system continuesto evolve
throughout its lifecycle, even if it is successful. The proposed
system will save the user time and extra-labour that spends on
maintainingall the records & calculationsof students.
ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM
Organization can generate a report of the student very
easily.
It is based on the client - server architecture.
19. Searchingof student by name,address and phone no. can be
done very easily.
It is easy to do modification anytime.
The chances of errors are less.
Modules
There are two users who can login on to this project.
FIRST: First is the “ADMINISTRATOR” who has total control
over the project. Administrator can make changes to this project.
e.g- In this project, HOD is the Administrator.
SECOND: Second is the “USER” who is only allowed to view the
records entered by himself/herself. He/She is not allowed to
make any changes unless he/she is authorized or authenticated by
the Administrator.
e.g- In this project, Teachers are the users.
IT HAS THE FOLLOWING MODULES:
Register : In this module, the administrator as well as user can
register their name and password in order to get the access.
Login : After registering, the administrator as well as user can
login their name and password which they have filled while
registering.
20. Insert Record : In this module, the administrator as well as the user
is able to insert the data into the database.
For example-:
1)The Administrator entersthe name of the class for which he/she
wants to insert the records.
2)He/She enter the name of the subject and name of the internal
assignment.
3)He/She enters the rollno, the maximum marks and the marks
obtained by a particular student.
4)He/She also enter the attendance marks of the student.
Update Record : In this module, the user can update or change only
those records which are entered by himself/herself. On the other
hand, the Administrator can update or change all the records that
are entered by different users.
For example-:
A teacherof BCA department isallowed to update or change only
those records that are related to his/her own subjects. But the
HOD of the departmentis able to update or change all the records
entered by different teachers.
Delete Record : In this module, the user can delete only those
records which are entered by himself/herself. But the
21. Administrator is able to delete all the records entered by different
users.
For example-:
A teacher of BCA department is allowed to delete only those
records that are related to his/her own subjects. But the HOD of
the department is able to delete all the records entered by
different teachers.
View/Search Record : In this module, the user can view only the
records entered by himself/herself. But the Administrator can
view all the records which are registered by different users.
For example-:
A teacher of BCA department is allowed to view or search only
those records that are related to his/her own subjects. But the
HOD of the department is able to view or search all the records
entered by different teachers.
Shortage : In this module, the user can also records the list of
different students who have shortage in his/her own subject.
Generate Final List : In this, the user enters the final list of his /her
subjects.
Objectives of the Project

complicationsarising from calculation of records.
b)The maintenance,addition, modificationsor deletion of existing
records becomesa work regarding only a few secondsusing
computerized system.
c)This will increase efficiency,accuracy and also save time.
