 Parasitizes- dogs and closely related wild canids
 Occurrence- primarily on the head and neck and
may be especially common beneath collars

10.  Dog sucking louse- causes anemia due to blood loss.
 The lice may cause irritation, resulting in
sleeplessness, nervousness, biting, and scratching,
often leading to secondary bacterial infection and
hair loss.
