- 10. 10 Examination • PECB exams are administered under a rigorous and independent process in compliance to the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17024 • Exam items are created by a committee of experts and are reviewed annually based on psychometric analysis • Paper based exams are supervised by independent invigilators • Exams are corrected in an anonymous and independent manner (not by the trainer) • Free retake option in case of failure Examination Rules and Policies

The main criteria’s for getting certified as a PECB Trainer are: - Appropriate professional experience - Relevant ISO Certification - Attend and pass Train the Trainer Session (TTT) - Familiar with the respective ISO Standard • Trainers are evaluated annually

- My name is Mustafe Bislimi and as some of you might know I hold the position of Director for PECB Africa and Middle East region. We will share the electronic format of this power point presentation with all present here today so anyone can call me or email for any questions related to activities in AME region.
- What will be discussing is PECB Partner program will provide with information on what we offer to partners, responsibilities and advantages on working with PECB 2. and Partnership Level Scheme where we will be talking about credit calculations and how partners are ranked based on their performance, it tells how partners can benefit from it and also help create goals. Lets start with Partner Program first !
- For the services we offer we are accredited from International Accreditation Service (IAS) based in United States, by one of the toughest and most reputable accreditation bodies in the world. PECB is accredited against ISO 17024 for certification of persons PECB is accredited against ISO 17021 for certification of management systems PECB is accredited against ISO 17065 for certifications of training products processes and services The accreditation links are available on PECB website.
- For the Training Services PECB business model offers to resellers the Training package which contains training material prepared from PECB, the exam material prepared from PECB, PECB is responsible for grading the exams and PECB is responsible to communicate the exam results and issue certification to the candidates. Partners will market the course, find interested participants, take care of training venue, and deal with organizational matters . Through this model we have managed to expand our presence in more than 100 countries and today we have more than 1600 partners worldwide.
- We cover wide range of training services covering different industries and we have one of the largest ISO Training Catalogs in the world covering: INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM GOVERNANCE, RISK AND COMPLIANCE HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT CONTINUITY, RESILIENCE AND RECOVERY IT SECURITY SERVICE MANAGEMENT The list of training services is continually growing, like Certified Lead Ethical Hacker, computer Forensics, technical security courses like for IOS Android etc, Sustainability courses , material is updated and modified also
- Beside professional content and design, the PowerPoint slides have additional notes for the trainer and the customer to get a broader knowledge of the subject discussed and each course comes with exercises and a case study.
- PECB Management System Courses and Manager Courses are divided into four level of courses Introduction –training course enables candidates to become familiar with basic elements of respective standard. No exam required Foundation –training allows candidates to learn the basic concepts to implement and manage the standard. A PECB Foundation Certificate shows that candidate have understood the fundamental methodologies, requirements, framework and management approach. One hour exam followed with Foundation Certification. Lead – courses are intended for Professionals to enable them to develop the necessary expertise to support an organization Implementing/Managing Auditing/Monitoring their management system. Three hour exam followed with Lead Certificate.
- PECB Manager Courses are also divided into four level of courses Introduction –training course enables candidates to become familiar with basic elements of respective standard. No exam required Foundation –training allows candidates to learn the basic concepts to implement and manage the standard. A PECB Foundation Certificate shows that candidate have understood the fundamental methodologies, requirements, framework and management approach. One hour exam followed with Foundation Certification. Manager - Managers in the relevant field who wish to master the fundamental principles and concepts of a management program. Two hour exam followed with Manager Certification. Lead – courses are intended for Professionals to enable them to develop the necessary expertise to support an organization Implementing/Managing Auditing/Monitoring their management system. three hour exam followed with Lead Manager Certification. Three hour exam followed with Lead Certificate. It is worth to mention that: For all level of courses we have created Brochures which can be used for partners for marketing activities. In addition Partners can use PECB Training Catalogue 8 when being approached from clients or have a site visit to the potential clients.
- To comply with the ISO 17024 requirements, PECB exams must be supervised by independent invigilator. Therefore, for paper based exam partners need to register an invigilator with PECB, where the online exams are supervised from PECB Invigilators the service which is provided within the training package. Exam items are created by a committee of experts and are reviewed annually based on psychometric analysis Exams are corrected in an anonymous and independent manner (not by the trainer) Free retake option in case of failure for the candidates that follow the training Examination rules and policies are available for public on PECB website.
- After the exams are completed and sent to PECB for grading its time for the candidates to apply for the certificate. The application for certification is done all online from the clients directly. The result and instructions on how to apply for the certificate are communicated directly to the candidates through email. The candidates will receive Attendance Record Certificate for attending PECB training and candidates that successfully pass the exam will be invited to apply for the certificate based on their professional experience. In addition, on the help center of PECB, are instructions on how to apply for PECB Certificate. The help center can be used for many frequent asked questions, its like WIKIPEDIA within PECB.
- There are two partnership model for resellers to organize PECB courses Using PECB Platform to connect with network of trainers and agree for delivering PECB Trainings. The first model allows you to expand your portfolio of services by using external trainer. Let say your Reseller is specialized on Information Security but there is an open tender in the area for Health and Safety ISO 45001: this is when first partnership model applies. that Resellers can work with other trainers other for areas that they don’t have expertise The second model is 2. Organize PECB Course using your PECB Certified Trainer which is financially more beneficial. Through our business model we managed to have a list of over 1600 resellers, have over 1300 PECB Certified Trainers, Certify over 30,000 professionals, and have presence in over 100 countries worldwide. That’s why our business model works successfully.
- In order to become a PECB Certified Trainer certain conditions need to be respected Appropriate professional experience Relevant ISO Certification Attend and pass Train the Trainer Session (TTT) which is held weekly Familiar with the respective ISO Standard Trainers are evaluated and rated from clients. Rating will be visible to public. We are going to stop a little bit here and talk about the power of network We have a real example of how network of trainers/auditors can influence on you business by partnering with PECB. One of the biggest manufacturing company in the world active in petrochemicals from Saudi Arabia called “SABIC” has been certified from PECB from reseller in Saudi Arabia that has hired PECB Auditor Mr. Mostafa Alshamy from Egypt to conduct audits in Europe, Asia, Middle East and United States. This is the power of PECB network and this is the power of PECB Events. There are a lot of reasons why becoming a trainer could be beneficial for you and for the people you will be sharing your knowledge with. Let’s name just some of them: • Sharing knowledge builds your profile as an expert leader • Well paid training mandates • Opportunity to meet a wide range of professionals from the same field • Possibilities to teach worldwide
- We move now to the table of partnership responsibilities. As shown PECB responsibility is to maintain accreditation, to develop and update training material, PECB is responsible for exam processing also and issuing the Certificates to candidates. Management System Services and Product Certification lies under responsibility of PECB. Among many responsibilities of Distributors are, responsibility to manage the attributed territory and relationship with resellers, another responsibility is to support resellers to provide PECB Services, Invoice resellers for services rendered and so on. The resell is responsible to organize training and recruit participants, collect payments and manage with training logistics. Another responsibility is to make sure that the training is delivered through approved PECB Certified trainer and provide an approved invigilator to supervise exam, and the last but not least is to protect intellectual property of PECB.
- As we move forward we arrived at the advantages slide where are listed few advantages from which partners benefit and which are: New Source of income without upfront investments – means that Partners can start offering PECB Courses and there is no upfront investment to develop Training Material, Exam and Certificate. Profitable training even with small groups - Quality training materials available in multiple languages – where all resellers could have their contribution in translation. Opportunity to provide training with your own trainer or hire one Support for sales, marketing and customer service Can anyone else in the event share any other advantage apart from the one mentioned in the list? Partners can develop a training and use our distribution.
- When it comes to marketing, PECB will always assist resellers for personalizing training brochures, catalogues, flyers for social media or PECB banners for events.
- The Partnership level scheme is designed to rank Resellers based on their success. The more credits you earn and requirements fulfilled, the higher your status level and more benefits you'll pick up. Let me take an example of how the CEO of the biggest commercial and cloud computing companies in the world “AMAZON” Jeff Bezos set goals to product manager. He ask to make a press release of a product which will be available in next 6 months or in a year. This way they focus more on the final product and know the outcome. The same is with PLS, Partners can motivate staff and set up goals for them, example to reach Gold Level and try to reach them within 12 month of performance. A copy of PLS has been printed and distributed to all, you may find it in your table.
- Authorized Partner Certificate has a validity of one year and is issued based on reseller activity for 12 months of performance Together with Authorized Partner Certificate we send also the AP Logo to be used in website, email or any other social media from resellers.
