software & prepare detailed drawing for production.

Description: In the thesis, the hollow shaft spacer of a forging press (Made Vaccari Rosanne) has been considered for
Design-out maintenance. The hollow shaft spacer is analyzed by the help of FEM analysis using UNIGRAPHICS
software and NASTRAN solver. The root cause of frequent failure of the hollow shaft is obtained with the help of FEM
analysis. The analysis help in minimizing breakdowns, which directly reduced the cost of maintenance and other costs,
related to repair or replacement of parts.
