Key Equipment Finance and Paige Yungstrom honored
for smart commuting and sustainability initiatives
Key Equipment Finance and its energetic, green-minded employees continue to get noticed for their commitment to
smart commuting and sustainability, most recently with several new awards:
• The Denver Regional Council of Governments' Way to Go program has named Key Equipment Finance the
2016 Way to Go Champion for its innovative outreach efforts and programs to reduce single-occupant vehicle
commuting while increasing the use of sustainable transportation options.
• Paige Yungstrom, executive assistant and sustainability and wellness manager for Key Equipment Finance, is
being honored with a Way To Go Commuter Champion Award for her commitment to promoting and advocating
for transportation options in the workplace.
• Key Equipment Finance also received the Most Transportation Friendly Employer Award for 2015 from 36
Commuting Solutions, a longstanding partner in smart commuting.
"Key Equipment Finance has exemplified 36 Commuting
Solutions’ mission to reduce congestion and improve mobility in
the US 36 Corridor," said Cathy Bird, outreach coordinator for
36 Commuting Solutions.
Last fall, Key Equipment Finance emerged early on as a stand-
out in the Go-tober competition, which was a month-long event
through the Denver Regional Council of Governments’ Way to
Go program to encourage employees to try commute options to
driving alone in the month of October.
"Through enticing employees to carpool, bicycle, use transit,
telework and even walk to work, Key Equipment Finance took the prize in their division," Bird said, "beating out
companies in more urban locations with better access to transit and cycling options."
Yungstrom believes Key Equipment Finance's wellness and sustainability programs, including its Project impACT
internal program, have a ripple effect in the community. “It starts with changing one employee at work, educating them
on how to recycle appropriately, and they bring it home and teach their kids," she says. "It’s viral.”
For her efforts personally to drive these programs, Yungstrom will be recognized in August during the Way to Go
Champion awards program and participate in a panel discussion on how companies can launch and sustain similar
programs.
