2. INTRODUCTION-
 Artificial intelligence (AI) , sometimes called as
machine intelligence , is intelligence demonstrated by
machines , in contrast to natural intelligence displayed
by humans and other animals .
 AI is the study of intelligent agents .
 As machines become increasingly capable , tasks
considered as requiring “INTELLIGENCE” are often removed
from the definition , a phenomenon known as AI effect
leading to the quip , “AI IS WHATEVER HASN’T BEEN DONE
YET” .

3. HISTORY-
 Thought – capable artificial beings
appeared as storytelling devices in
antiquity , and have been common
fiction , as in Mary Shelley’s
Frankesnstein or Karel Capek’s R.U.R
. These characters and their faces
raised many of same issues now
discussed in the ethics of AI .
 The study of mathematical logic led
directly to Alan Turing’s theory of
computation , which suggested that a
machine , by shuffling symbols as
simples as “0” and “1” , could
simulate any conceivable act of
mathematical deduction .

4. WHY ONE MUST STUDY AI ?
Computers are fundamentally well suited to
perform mechanical computations , using
fixed programmed rules .
This allows artificial machines to perform
simple monotonous tasks efficiently and
reliably , which humans are ill-suited to .

5. LIMITATIONS OF HUMAN MIND-
Object recognition - people cannot explain
how they recognize objects .
Face recognition – cannot be passed on to
another person by explanation .
Naming of colours – based on learning , not
on absolute standards .

6. APPLICATIONS OF AI-
 AI is relevant to any intellectual task .
 Modern AI techniques are pervasive and are too numerous to list here .
 AI include autonomous vehicles , medical diagnosis , creating art ,
playing games , proving mathematical theorems , search engines and
targeting online advertisements .
 Major publishers now use AI technology to post stories more effectively
and generate higher volumes of traffic .
 AI is breaking into the healthcare industry by assisting doctors .
 Advancements in AI have contribute to the growth of the automotive
industry through the creation and evolution of self-driving vehicles .
 Financial institutions have long used artificial neural network systems
to detect charges or claims outside the room .

7. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF AI-
 More powerful and more useful
computers .
 New and improved interfaces
 Solving new problems
 Better handling of
information
 Relieves information overload
 Conversion of information
into knowledge .
 Increased costs
 difficulty with software
development – slow and
expensive
 Few experienced programmers
 Few practical products have
reached the market as yet

8. FUTURE OF AI-
 Technology moves at breakneck
speed , and now we have power
in our pocket than we had in
our homes .
 This type of deep learning
that allows machines to
process information for
themselves on a very
sophisticated level ,
allowing them to perform
complex functions like facial
recognition .

9. CURRENT STATUS OF AI-
With all the advancements made in AI and machine
learning today , there seems to be an influx of
tools and solutions that are starting to leverage
cognitive capabilities .
The problem in today’s software development industry
is that because AI is such a big umbrella term .

10. CONCLUSION-
 AI and technology are one side of
the life that always interest and
surprise us with the new ideas ,
topics , innovations etc
 AI is still not implemented as the
films representing , however there
are many important tries to reach
the level and to compete in market
.

definitions , brief history ,
application of AI in public in
military , ethics of AI , and the
rules of robotic .
