  • @jcgonzalez I understand the numbers of the market, but I am still repeat: Press trying to sell the idea that tablet/mobiles will kill the PC. Currently I'm installing Winfows 8 on my mom's PC It's a Vaio Cores 2 Duo with 4 gb Ram and 3 years of use !!!!!! Why the press can't tell the true ? The true is simple: That thing where new versions of Windows requires each time a more powerfull machine is over. This era is over. The W8 run very veru well on my mon's pc.The only thing that's really dead is our habit to upgrade our hardware at least once for each 2 years. If this behaviour is over, the numbers will drop indeed. The only metric we can consider is visit reports of web sites. If the numbers starts to show us that visits using PC is about to die...Ok, it's about to die and time to accept :)
But this will not happen...at least not so soon...The coexistance will exists.Maybe more numbers to portable devices ? Yes, maybe ! Why not ? But this will not means that PC is dead.

  • @RandyLampSr Oh - and I never said PC's were going to disappear entirely - but the options for businesses, especially large enterprise to step away from the PC as a primary workstation is coming near and for some already exists.
