2. The King’s Kid
As difficult as it is to pronounce the name
Mephibosheth, believing in the similarities
between his destiny and ours can be equally
challenging. Most people have experienced
disappointment, some disgrace, and
discouragement. It may stem from problems that
occurred in our childhood or expectations that
have never been met. Whatever the case, the
story of Mephibosheth serves as a timeless
reminder that it is not over until God says it is
over. Today’s message holds a special place in
the hearts of people who need to know that no
matter what happens to us, we are all King’s Kids.
4. LEAVE LO-DEBAR - (place meaning “no
word” and “not a pasture”)
Machir means, “sold”
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this
world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove [examine,
discern, allow, try] what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
5. LET GO OF THE LEGALISTIC LIFE
SAUL means “asked for”
Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) Behold, I will do a new
thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not
know it? I will even make a road in the
wilderness And rivers in the desert.
6. LIVE IN THE LIBERTY OF GOD
PEACE
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with
thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will
strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will
uphold thee with the right hand of my
righteousness.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is
your Father's good pleasure to give you the
kingdom.
7. LIVE IN THE LIBERTY OF GOD
POSITION
Romans 9:25-26 As he saith also in Osee,
[Hosea 2:23] I will call them my people, which
were not my people; and her beloved, which
was not beloved. And it shall come to pass,
that in the place where it was said unto them,
Ye are not my people; there shall they be
called the children of the living God.
8. LIVE IN THE LIBERTY OF GOD
PROVISION
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
when the times of refreshing [relief,
restoration, revival, recovery] shall come from
the presence of the Lord;
9. LIVE IN THE LIBERTY OF GOD
PERPETUAL PRIVILEGE
Psalm 23:1-6 (NIV) 1The LORD is my
shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2He makes me
lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside
quiet waters, 3he restores my soul. He guides
me in paths of righteousness for his name’s
sake. 4Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for
you are with me; your rod and your staff, they
comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in
the presence of my enemies. You anoint my
head with oil; my cup overflows. 6Surely
goodness and love will follow me all the days of
my life, and I will dwell in the house of the
LORD forever.
10. LIVE IN THE LUXURY OF GOD
2 Samuel 9:9-11 (NIV) 9Then the king
summoned Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him,
“I have given your master’s grandson everything
that belonged to Saul and his family. 10You and
your sons and your servants are to farm the land
for him and bring in the crops, so that your
master’s grandson may be provided for. And
Mephibosheth, grandson of your master, will
always eat at my table.” (Now Ziba had fifteen
sons and twenty servants.) 11Then Ziba said to
the king, “Your servant will do whatever my lord
the king commands his servant to do.” So
Mephibosheth ate at David’s table like one of
the king’s sons.
