1. Resistance
During Nazi occupation in Europe there were some groups
that put up resistance against them. In this presentation we
are going to show you some examples of anti-Nazi resistance.

2. Warsaw Ghetto
The Warsaw ghetto was a place in the Polish capital (Warsaw). In
1943 the ghetto was so overpopulated by Jews that Nazi soldiers
entered with the only objective of “emptying it” (this meant
killing and deporting Jews to camps). Nevertheless some Jews
did not accept this and upraised. As a consequence they were
involved in a miniwar that lasted 3 months and left 95% of the
inhabitants dead and the whole ghetto destroyed.
4. Young oppositors to the Nazis
The Nazis had several opposing groups; some of them were The
Edelweiss Pirates and The Swing Movement.
• The Swing Movement were middle class teenagers who were
influenced by english and american cultures. They were
persecuted by the Nazis.
• The Edelweiss Pirates was formed by working class teenagers
who caused serioius worries to the Nazis because they
disrupted Nazi youth and took part in revolts and boicots.
5. Nazi campaign against young opposing
groups
In the poster it can be read: Degenerate Music.
6. Jewish fighters
Even though some people helped the Nazis, other such as Gad
Beck, who led Jew resistance in Berlin, Raoul Wallenberg, a
Swedish diplomat that helped jews get foreign passports and the
famous industrialist Oskar Schindler, who protected jews by
giving them jobs, risked their lives to help the jewish survive.

7. Resistance`s Conclusion
In our opinion the people who were brave
enough to confront directly such a powerful
force as the Nazis were at that time are true
heroes.
