SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
My technical expertise is in Bioinformatics: the application of computational and statistical techniques to
analyze biological data. I specialize in software development, high performance and cluster computing, and
data analysis, generally using R, Perl, or Python.
I am a goal-oriented and accountable scientist with exceptional inter- and intrapersonal awareness. I have
well-developed experience in dynamic mentoring, leadership, and communication in a professional setting.
My scientific, professional, and personal achievements have demonstrated efficacy in managing multiple tasks
and projects simultaneously, independently driving projects, and collaborating with diverse groups of people.

ACTIVITIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Coordinated the activities and $100,000 budget of leadership and mentoring program for junior
graduate students. 3 of 128 (~2%) GSMP graduate student participants discontinued pursuit
of their intended degree, relative to graduate student attrition rates of ~47% at UCR and
~50% nationwide (NSF) while the program completed ~$30,000 under budget.
Volunteer experience as a Judge at the Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA)
California Program to provide academic support to educationally disadvantaged students. My role as
judge was to administer, aid, and assess high school student performance in the field of Mathematics.
As of 2016, 92% of over 25,000 student participants in the MESA program have continued onto
secondary education relative to ~70% nationwide (USED).
