For his skilled leadership of the HBSDT Radiation Team, thanks to which it was possible
for the technical committee to reach a consensus on the radiation hazard assessment
methodology used in the IEC 62368 standards. He has used his experience and
knowledge to help TC 108 reach meaningful decisions on the technical
requirements in the IEC 60950-1 standard as well as IEC 62368.

the 1906 Award to commemorate the founding of the Commission and to honour those who have
made an exceptional recent technical contribution to the development of a specific IEC work
project. This is now the fifth occasion on which the annual awards have been made.
I should like to congratulate you on being among the experts involved in the IEC's technical work
who are being presented this year with the 1906Award, following nomination by the officers of
your technical committee/subcommittee. The Award recognizes the major input you have made to
furthering standardization and related activities in the field of electrotechnology. On behalf of the
