engineering disciplines to required degree of accuracy (Class 1 to Class 5) for lump sum & cost-
reimbursable projects; cost control; project control; change trend/management; contingency
planning; contractor management; claims defence, commercial analysis; compliance; contractual

Key Achievements
Led delivery of Cold Eyes Review for cost estimate & construction schedule for proposed
project within Ras Laffan complex (Qatar) in 2013 on behalf of RasGas. Recommended
solution to shorten construction schedule & revise capital costs (downwards). Project
completed with revised schedule and with significantly lower costs.
Reviewed & evaluated cost proposal prepared by Petronas FEED Consultant for build of
new refinery & downstream petrochem complex in Malaysia on behalf of the owner &
secured savings of $1.1b US. Identified allowances for bulk materials and high man hour
rates which could not be justified and were subsequently addressed by the owner.
Reviewed & evaluated cost proposal & schedule prepared by consultant at RasGas &
QatarGas (Owner-Operators) for project to extend life of subsea wells. Identified risks with
“rounding up” of quantities & large contingencies for unknown scopes. Considerably
reduced cost estimate by removing unnecessary allowances (saving of $3b US).
Received award from RasGas for Common Offplots Project (COP) in 2006 for reduction of
excessive claims for additional works (>$20m savings) and following in-depth analysis of
contracts. Award usually reserved for internal RasGas team.
