Overview
   • The PSL Pace Rating Clinic differs from the standard
     clinics, as a full introduction to rating is delivered,
     together with guided application, feedback and
     regular accuracy analysis.
   • This approach ensures every opportunity to improve
     the delegate’s ability and is a clinic in the truest sense.
   • Our pass mark is higher that the standard clinic, yet
     more candidates gain the requisite mark.

Details
        •   One day duration;
        •   Up to 10 delegates;
        •   Delivered to the highest standard;
        •   Up to date DVD footage;
        •   Assisted clinics and on-going appraisal during delivery;
        •   Immediate feedback;
        •   Pro-active experience;
        •   Results are known before the clinic is finished;
        •   Full report is delivered, usually within 2 working days;
        •   Certification is widely recognised;
        •   Tangible evidence of Pace Rating competence for 12 months.

Format
        Brief Introduction (10 minutes max) – Accompanied by a short film.
          • Definition of Rating;
          • Definitions of Standard (100), 75 and 125 rating;
          • Concepts of Loose, Tight, Flat and Steep rating;
          • Requirements for a pass (using best 10 out of 11 exercises):-
            • Systematic Error: 3.00 points
            • Mean Deviation: ≤5.00
        All exercises to be 20 observations – following at least three demonstrations at
        100 - range of ratings (i.e. highest and lowest rating) to be given for each
        exercise – also first rating of each exercise to be given to delegates to ensure
        that they are “on the right track”.

Format
        Rating Exercise 1 – Walking on Level Ground
          • Explain – using the graph – the meaning of Systematic Error and Mean
            Deviation.
          • Emphasise that this is called a clinic so that errors can be corrected during
            the course of the day. It is not simply a rating test.
        Rating Exercise 2 – Dealing 26 cards
          • Plot graph of results to illustrate concepts of loose, tight, flat and steep
            rating.
        Rating Exercise 3 – Moving draughts on draughtsboard
        Rating Exercises 4 to 6 – Activities filmed in a live situation
        Lunch - optional (45 minutes)

Format
        Rating Exercises 7 to 11 – Activities filmed in a live situation
        Calculation and Analysis of Results
          • Systematic Error;
          • Mean Deviation;
          • Percentage of correct observations;
          • Percentage of observations within 5 points;
          • Percentage of “wild” observations of 15 points or more;
          • Percentage of loose observations;
          • Percentage of tight observations.
        Note:
        All exercise sheets and the analysis sheet will be collected by the tutor after the
        completion of these calculations. The calculations will then be checked and if
        necessary, corrected, (after the conclusion of the clinic) by the tutor and a brief
        report on each delegate showing all of the above statistics plus a certificate will
        be sent to the client company.

        • Expenses
         • Mileage                                                               £0.45 per mile
        • Accommodation
         • At cost, agreed in advance
         All figures quoted are exclusive of VAT which will be charged at the standard rate.
         All other details are as per PSL Terms of Supply 2013.
