21. Color Consistency and Quality Control
• Calibration process:
– What sets Avanzado apart in the calibration process is the use of same X-rite Autoscan
Spectrophotometer on all 4 of our iGen’s thus ensuring color consistency between iGens.
• Preventive Maintenance:
– Each Avanzado print operator performs preventive maintenance every eight hours or as needed.
This maintenance schedule exceeds Xerox’s recommended schedule for preventative
maintenance.
• Proofing procedure:
– The operator is required to stamp the proof copy with a QC stamp and return it to the assigned
Project Manager and/or client for approval. The QC stamps lists the overall quality standards:
Color, USPS requirements, Imposition, Data flow.
• Production:
– Before starting production the project manager must review the proof and
sign the QC stamp indicating each QC point is approved for production.
