2. Everyone seems to be under the belief that Destiny isn’t a game that is going to last. Here’s why they’re
wrong. You see, once you reach the 'level cap' that everybody likes to complain about, you will find that
you've finished what is essentially the tutorial of Destiny. Congratulations. Incidentally, there are more
game systems to learn from here on out.
3. You can begin purchasing Rare equipment that does all these things you weren’t aware of. You can more
pick and select skills and the mixes you would like. Nevertheless, you can not only buy this stuff. That
means having Vanguard XP and a bunch of other stuff. And whether you visit the general store owners
or the faction sellers--whose items provides the prospect of killer buff feedback loops, provided that you
commit your advancement to the cabal in question--you will just get those from finishing Bounties,
which is the Accomplishment-fashion challenges you likely blew off as a pointless diversion before
reaching level 20. Surprise! They are essential to the entire freakin’ game, and you never realized such a
thing 'til this point in time.
4. Have not we already reached the level cap at this stage of the game, though? Oh yeah, sorry, I did not
mention. Destiny begins using a brand new leveling system after 20, predicated on the quantity of Light
your armour is taking. This is just another new property that shows up after 20, and one that will take
you into some pretty high levels if you get what you need for it. The Dark Below has people hitting level
32 right now. Who knows how much higher it’ll get down the line.
5. As should be foreseeable by now, Destiny is--everybody sing it with me--only getting started. You finally
have access to high levels and Strike missions that were ludicrously challenging, those designed for a
required three players. And you'll be able to remix those preceding narrative stages with new enemies,
new problems, as well as an entire lot of subjective gameplay modifiers. And a little after, you will
unlock the Nightfall missions. These come in daily and weekly flavours, refreshed and with high
challenge lunacies, like enemies being more prone to a specific elemental weapon, and having higher
defense and resistances.
And then there are the full blown Raids, let’s not forget about those. There’s more to come down the
line, too. Best hunker down and get your exotic weapons so that you’re well prepared for all this
content now and down the line. There’s certainly going to be more coming. So, you see my point, right?
Destiny will be lasting far longer than anyone has mentioned or thought. It might just outlive you. ;)
