  1. 1. Moving from Me to We “at home” TeamLease Skills University
  2. 2. Remote-working  a necessity due to the isolation required at the moment, has increasingly been inching towards becoming the norm, rather that the exception and when this is over, many of us would have realised that it might make sense to work with this model to meet the future halfway -  save costs, save fuel, protect the environment, Most Importantly : Have productive employees and deliver results.

Keep your kids away from the workplace- your sitting area. ( It is perfectly fine if they walk in suddenly ) Discuss your day with friends over a call. Have proper food and proper breaks in between. Did you have your informal chat today? Join the call before time to take care of IT related issues
  6. 6. Why do virtual teams fail? Lack of vision of the employee Lack of Support to each other Lack of accountability Conflict Between Personalities Power Struggles : Team Members No clear Identity / Clear on work bifurcation Not interested in coaching/training Lack of resources Lack of Interpersonal skills Inability to accept the change
  7. 7. Focus Areas ● Technology Compatibility ● Social Interaction During “Work Time” ● Attitude during “Work from Home”
  8. 8. Managing Workloads and Deliverables Focus on what your remote workers have accomplished, not on what you have seen them accomplishing it. Build trust with your remote workers during your one-on-ones. Take the first five minutes to get to know them personally, inquire about non-work issues, and ask them for feedback on how you can communicate better. Remote workers can’t just drop in for helpful feedback, so clarify your performance expectations frequently. ( Being Proactive) Make your check-ins more interactive. Screen-share slide decks and spreadsheets so that you both see what’s going on.
  9. 9. Circle of Control / Circle of Influence / Concern Always Remember : WHAT CAN WE CONTROL AND WHAT CAN’T WE CONTROL will help to become PROACTIVE from Reactive.
