  8. 8. Care for Fracture  Follow DRSABC. The proceed with I A-C-T. • I- Immobilise area. Use jacket, pillow, blankets and so on. • A-Activate emergency services • C-care for shock. See care for shock slide • T-Treat any additional secondary injuries
  9. 9. Diabetic Emergency  Follow DRS ABCD  Try to determine whether the individual is suffering from a high or low blood sugar.  The best option to give the person a sweet drink.  Monitor individual &wait for arrival of medical assistance
  10. 10. Frost Bite  Care frostbitten toes, ear with warm hands.  The area affected can be warmed by breathing on them in a warm area.  Cover the area affected.
  11. 11. Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS)  ORS has been a life saver in case of dehydration.  ORS is prepared by dissolving a pinch of salt in a glass of water and tablespoon of sugar to it.  ORS helps in restoring back the electrolyte balance of our body.
  12. 12. Common causes of temporary unconsciousness  Low blood sugar.  Low blood pressure.  Syncope.  Problem with the heart’s rhythm.  Neurologic syncope.
