When roadmaps have NOT worked
1. As a delivery/timeline promise.
2. Too much detail. Just a list of low level
features.
3. When we lose focus on what the
consumer needs.
We have hundreds of engineers working
in dozens of delivery teams all over the
world.

Roadmaps - the good, the bad and the ugly!

  3. Managing expectations. Study where one group of participants waited for a train that was 5 minutes late but had no indication of when it would arrive. The second group waited for a train that was 10 minutes late but had a sign letting them know. The second group was significantly more satisfied with their experience that the first.
