Phoenix Test Servers are test systems that we rebuild for each round of testing to ensure we don’t accidentally produce code or configuration that works because of a left over from a prior set up. Red/Green Servers (a.k.a odd/even) are none active instances set up along side an active environment so that pre-production deployments and tests can be done prior to a go live. This gives an easy path to switch back and avoids the all weekend sucky go live conference calls because everyone is concerned that the deployment might not work.
