HISTORY • Built by kitson, Thompson, and Hewitson. • Fleet 22 1895 • Used to haul troop trains between Howrah and Raniganj. • 1909 consigned to line construction duty in Bihar. • 1943-1972 Railway Zonal Training School at Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh. • 1972 Heritage and National Treasure • 1st Feb 1997 made its first journey • 1998 oldest steam locomotive
  4. • 1999 National Tourism Award • 2011 moved to Perambur Locomotive workshop at Chennai • 22 dec. 2012 resumed its services

SERVICES • Operates between New Delhi and Alwar (every 2nd and 4th Saturday of oct. to march) • 1 night and 2 day journey • Garhi Harasuru, pataudi road, Rewari, Ajarka and Khairtal railway stations. • Reaches same day to Alwar. • Guests welcomed with tica and garland by RTDC • Hotel Tiger Den • Sariska national park
