DE CAIRES<br />R2011.2012 ANNUAL REPORT<br />S SPRING 2011 IR<br />c<br />There is a popular song whose theme is ‘we are family; and as I reflect on our theme for this year’s report, this song comes to mind, and I am wondering, how are we family, if we are divided by ministerial boundaries.<br />We tend to use the word ‘community’ instead of ‘family’. We believe that ‘the love of higher learning’ has gathered us together into one community where we share the same faith, values and vision. Because we are united in focus we can form strong bonds in community, finding strength and richness in our unity and our diversity of talent and personality.<br />We can find a strong sense of belonging, and always welcome home. Members of a family love one another, encourage, challenge and congratulate one another as we all work to fulfill our dreams and recognize our potential. Our extended family is all who come together to assist us.<br />Having the strength and richness of a family to support us, we have much to offer those outside our cities, especially those who may need our help.<br />Thank you all and especially those few key individuals who extended great support<br />Respectfully yours,<br />
