12. 5. GOOD PRACTICES
Compliance with the reporting format;
NRP developed in November and response started in
January/February (Senegal, Burkina Faso);
Social protection registry used in Senegal as a targeting
tool for NRP / cash transfers;
Sovereign financing of NRP in Cabo Verde and Senegal;
Resilience: scaling up local purchases from small
producers in Niger;
Digital platform for monitoring NRP implementation in Mali
13. 5. RECOMMENDATIONS
Accelerate the funding mobilisation for the current response
Extend the response monitoring to all types of responses in all countries
Improve response efficiency and effectiveness:
response package (value and content)
Mutualisation of common functions (targeting, distribution, monitoring) and
Coordination
Accelerate the operationnalisation of the Humanitarian-Development-Peace
Nexus (Continuum with social protection, resilience and developmental actions)
Shift to performance-based monitoring (performance indicators and
dashboard)
Deepen analysis, capitalise lessons and explore new ways to respond
(preventive and anticipatory actions), and feed decision-making process
