How to configure Gmail
iPad 2 allows users to configure different email accounts and this can be done by using the Mail,
Contacts, Calendars settings. The different email accounts that can be configured include Microsoft
Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and other.
Home -> Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendar -> Accounts -> Add Account
Tap Gmail and fill in the details such as Name, Address, Password in the respective field.

How to quickly turn off sound
In iPad 2 you can quickly turn off the sound by the following ways
Using Volume Control
iPad 2 has the volume control at the side of the device and you can increase and decrease volume
using this control. But you can also use this volume control to quickly turn off the sound. This can be
done by pressing and holding the reduce volume control.
Using Side Switch
iPad Side Switch can also be used to quickly mute the sound in iPad. But to use the side switch for
mute you need to enable this using the general settings. This can be done by navigating to General
Settings and then to Use Side Switch to section and then selecting Mute option.

How to set proxy server details
iPad 2 allows users to set the proxy server details using the settings menu option. This is required if
you are accessing from a network which is behind proxy server. To configure the proxy server details
in iPad 2
Home -> Settings -> Wi-Fi
Choose the network where the proxy or the firewall has been setup and tap the arrow next to the
Network name.
Tap the Manual option provided under the HTTP proxy section and specify the proxy server and port

4. How to lock the screen orientation
We all know that iPad changes screen orientation from landscape to portrait and vice versa based on
the sliding. But when the users hold the iPad in angled position the desired screen orientation may
not always happen. This can be fixed by locking the screen orientation using the iPad settings. To
disable or lock the screen orientation in iPad 2,
 Tap the menu screen twice to launch the task bar
 Tap and slide the taskbar towards the right.
 Now tap and lock the screen orientation available on the left hand side.
