  1. 1. Nokia Lumia 900 Vs Samsung Galaxy S II Nokia Lumia 900, the upcoming Windows phone from Nokia, has not yet arrived in the market but still its competitors are ready to pounce on it. The latest horse in the smartphone race has found its closest competitor named Samsung Galaxy S II. Comparisons between the two smartphones have already begun. Here is a lowdown on the tech specs of the two smartphones: Display:- Both the smartphones sport a 10.9-cm (4.3-inch) Super AMOLED capacitive multi-touch touchscreen made of Corning Gorilla Glass. Operating system:- Samsung Galaxy S II runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, which can be upgraded to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS when the update is rolled out for the handset, while Nokia Lumia 900 runs Microsoft's Windows 7.5 Mango OS. Processor:- Galaxy S II is powered by dual-core 1.2 GHz Cotrtex A9 Exynos chipset while Lumia 900 has an in-built Qualcomm 1.4 GHz Scorpion APQ8055 Snapdragon chipset. Camera:- Both the handsets have a rear 8 MP camera with auto focus. The Lumia 900 camera has a dual LED flashlight and can record videos at 720 p at 30 frames per second. While for Samsung Galaxy SII, the camera has a single LED flashlight but can record videos at 1080p at 30 frames per second.
  2. 2. Storage/Memory:- Galaxy S II is available in two models--16 GB and 32 GB and has an external microSD card slot as well. It has a 1 GB RAM. Lumia 900 will only be available in the 16 GB version and will not even have a card slot for expansion of storage. It has an in-built RAM of 512 MB. Price:- Both the smartphones are priced around Rs 30,000, states a News Track India report. Battery:- Galaxy S II comes with a standard Li-Ion 1650 mAh battery, while Lumia 900 will feature a standard Li-Ion 1830 mAh battery and is said to be the first 4G- enabled phone with a long battery backup. Connectivity features:- Both the phones have Wi-Fi 802.11 and Wi-Fi hotspot facility, a USB v 2.0 port and a 3.5 mm jack, GPRS, EDGE, HSPA+ along with 2G and 3G support. Lumia 900 comes with 4G LTE technology while Samsung's smartphone has Bluetooth 3.0 version as opposed to Nokia's Bluetooth 2.1 version.
