English vocabulary.
7. Miscellaneous
(CULTURAL DIFFERENCES)
Many of the difficulties that Japanese learners have with English are not
due to problems with the language itself.
The biggest difference between the Japanese language and the English
language is the cultural aspects
Japanese try to polite and unassertive as possible in their communication
There is a respect for abstraction for to many plain-speaking Westerners
8. Communication between any two people in Japan is heavily influenced
by aspects such as age, sex, relationship and relative status.
All of this can cause Japanese learners to struggle to find the best way
to express themselves and result in the production of English.
English speakers tend to speak the same to everyone ; that is, there isn’t
a level of formality for different people in communication.
