8. CompanyBackground
1970
RadiciGroup, already operating in the polyamide yarn sector, diversified
its business through vertical integration: it began producing nylon 6
polymer.
1986
RadiciGroup bought and revamped a former Montedison production
site in Novara, Italy, which became Radici Chimica SpA. Nitric and
adipic acid production was re-started up.
1991
At the Radici Chimica site, a new plant was built to produce
hexamethylenediamine; this enabled the production of nylon 66
polymer.

9. CompanyBackground
1998
Radici Chem Trade BV was opened in Mendrisio, Switzerland.
2001
Radici Chimica Deutschland GmbH, a new plant for the production
of adipic acid, was set up in Zeitz, Germany.
2003
RadiciChem Shanghai Co. Ltd, was opened in China.
2004
The Novel combined-cycle cogeneration (turbogas) power plant was
built-up in Radici Chimica Novara site. The plant has an output of 100
MW of electric power and can supply all the steam required for the
Novara plant’s operations.
Today…
Over the years RadiciGroup has expanded its chemicals business
and become a world leader in the production of polyamide 6 and 66, and
related intermediates. Today RadiciGroup can reach consumers in
chemicals markets all over the world: Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa,
North and South America.
