Focus of communication is with the
students with learning difficulties at all
ages. Must be able to explain the
content to them in a manner that makes
it easier to understand and remember.
Cooperating with the other members of
staff in the lesson (mainly the teacher)
as well as with the students during
tasks. Forming the relationship that will
allow easy communication and
understanding between the two parties.
Supervising the student to ensure
they’re focused on the task at hand.
Information that I am not familiar with
will be being taught, must commit, and
listen to what’s also being taught, to
better convey it to the student that I am
focused on helping.

Only a couple situations where IT skills
were necessary, and those sessions
were more based around literacy than IT
skills. Lesson was to make a poster on
something the students liked, and I
helped with spelling and some
formatting.
Not necessarily for myself, but for the
student I have been tasked with helping.
Ensure that I help them prioritise the
task and to help them identify the
information they need to complete that
task.
Majority of my sessions were based
around maths across all the years of
students in high school. Need to apply
the knowledge of the level requirements
to help students calculate the result, as
well as trying to provide tips that will
help speed up their process.

- resilience under pressure
Main use of this, especially with
principles of equipment and theoretical
knowledge will be during science lessons
during experimentations. Background
info is known to try and point out where
some of the students might be going
wrong and directing them in the right
direction.
Science based once again for this. More
factored towards the use of equipment,
ensuring that the safety precautions are
known and followed by the students.
Make sure methods are followed
properly to avoid accidents.
Main application of this is when acting as
a scribe for students. Must be accurate in
writing down the information the teacher
would like to be written down and
ensuring that the student will have the
necessary information for their studies.
Efficiency is key to not miss out any info.
This mistake would cause poor result on
the student, not me so must be precise.

COMMENTS / PROPOSALS:
Briefly reflect upon the
assessment, including ideas to
improve your employability skills
No specific uniform but must be
presentable, semi formal attire.
Professional ethics with the students is
required, compassion in that their ability
is different and understand that they will
not get the content immediately.
Confidentiality was followed, no student
or staff information spoken information
outside of situations where warranted.
D- The problem-solving skills were developed throughout my time working at the High School.
This was through the task of aiding some specific students in the class focus and complete
the work. This proved to be difficult as I had a hard time attempting to try and point the focus
to the information they needed, without giving away the answer directly, as this would defeat
the purpose of their learning. Overtime, this improved, and I was able to give directions
without giving away the answer. I feel like I can improve further in this, both for myself and for
others, as I feel like I can sometimes also get distracted on information that isn’t as relevant
as I believe.
E- I was not able to fully showcase my IT skills during my work since I did not fill in for many
IT lessons, and when I did, there was not much use of word packages. There were moments
where I had to help with formatting and spelling within the use of Microsoft Word, which
showcased some capability, but nothing strenuous. However, this did keep my knowledge in
check, since this was during my gap year, where I was using these packages less, so it made
sure that my IT skills were kept up to date, and slightly developed, even if not by a massive
margin.
