The Role of Fishbone Diagram in Analyzing Cause and Effect
Team building
3. You may have
heard that to
master your
life, you must
first master
your inner
state. Life
happens from
the inside out.
4. Coming from on
the inside—your
thoughts, feelings,
beliefs, and
physical state—is
the strongest
determining factor
in what happens
around you and in
how you
experience and
interpret whatever
happens.
7. Read items 1 to 12 below. On a sheet given to you, encircle the number
that describes you best for each item. Use the scale below
8. Many things influence a persons
self-acceptance.
Three particular influences are:
1. Physical
2.Social
3.Mental/Emotional
10. Often, teens don’t accept their physical self. One
major step in self-acceptance is the ability to take
responsibility for yourself. Some teens want other
peoples opinion about their looks. In doing so,
they may hope to feel better about themselves,
others want someone else to blame if they cant
accomplish their goal.
11. Your relationship to yourself is the most
important of all. It’s the basis of self-
esteem. You may attempt to increase
this respect to yourself appropriately or
inappropriately.
12. What physical traits could
you change? Rank the
changes according to cost
and how much it may risk
your health.
“Change the way you see, not the way you look”
14. This part is often hidden,
however, the feelings,
attitudes, and values you
have will eventually
surface. This will show in
your decisions, behaviors
and actions
15. It means:
Setting realistic short term and long term goals
Having an optimistic & confident attitude
toward challenges
Recognizing reality
Being curious about & interested in life
Tolerating other people’s differences
Coping with change
Taking positive risk
Thinking clearly
Communicating feelings
16. You may think of mental and
emotional self-acceptance as
being happy with who you are.
However, being happy with
yourself is easy for some and
difficult for others. Learning to be
happy is a step in the direction of
positive mental and emotional
self-acceptance.
17. There’s a phrase: “Happiness isn’t
a destination. It’s a way of
travel.” Most people want to be
happy. Many who search for
happiness never find it. They see
happiness as a place to end up
some day in the years to come.

“I’d be happy if only I were _____.”
18. Have you ever felt afraid
to share negative
feelings with others? If
so, were you ever able
to share them? What
happened?
21. Everyone has needs. Among
them is the need to BELONG.
Friends can have a positive or
negative influence on each
other. This is called peer
pressure.
24. What do you believe are the
three most important
characteristics of a good friend?
Give an example of positive
peer pressure.
Give an example of negative
peer pressure
25. Everyone has both gifts and disabilities.
Sometimes people feel angry about disbelieving
about, or afraid of disabilities.
The people label themselves and others can affect
their self acceptance.
Some people see their talents as disabilities because
they are embarrassed or afraid they won’t be
accepted.
26. Thomas Edison- was taken out of school because he was such a
poor student. His mother taught him at home. Later in life, he
created thousands of inventions.
George Washington- couldn’t spell well when he was young, and
his grammar was poor.
Tom Cruise- had severe reading problems throughout his school
years. Yet, he was able to memorize lines and successfully
performed on the stage and in many movies.
27. 1.Have you ever pretended you couldn’t do
something? Why or why not?
2.I have mentioned several famous people who
have disabilities. Choose one you admire and
explain why.
28. You can change a room by painting walls or hanging
posters. You can change your life the same way. With a
room, you can read and get advice about how to change it.
However, nothing will change until you put something on
the wall. Likewise, you can read and get advice about how
to change your life. But until you put your desires into
action, nothing will change.
29. Each day brings new adventures
and challenges. The higher your
self acceptance, the easier the
journey, even with scary or
difficult events.

1.Know yourself and
your beliefs.
Most people focus on the things
they dislike about themselves.
Begin to focus on the things you
like about yourself. Focusing on
the positive can help raise your
self esteem and self acceptance.
2. Begin self-honesty.
One of the first rules to building
self acceptance is to be honest
with yourself. Some teens cover
up what they know and believe
about themselves until they no
longer know the truth.
31. 3. Do the best you
can.
Remember that no one is perfect.
Aim to learn from mistakes. The
best people in any field begin with
basics. New basketball players
cant always get the ball in the
basket. But they practice and
slowly improve. Having ABILITIES is
largely combining the goal with
practice.
32. 4. Be a good listener
Communication with self and others is
important in building self-acceptance. A good
listener encourages the other speaker and
doesn’t interrupt. As a listener, always focus on
what the other person is saying
5. Don’t give up on yourself.
Be willing to try new things. Be willing to risk not
succeeding. Stretch your skills . Perhaps you try
five new things. Three don’t go so well, two go
terrific. You now have two more abilities. As you
add abilities, you can become more confident.
Your confidence allows you to continue to try
new things and accept a failed attempt
occasionally.
33. 6. Define yourself.
Don’t try to be someone you’re
not. Most people are trying to
improve themselves and be a
better person. Perhaps you want
to be more honest or less jealous.
You may need help from others to
recognize your talents and fault.
Getting rid of faults is difficult and
takes hard work. It even can be
painful. By defining yourself, you
can better fit your actions to your
beliefs.
34. 7. Be a good self-
acceptance role
model.
Self acceptance is contagious!
To your classmates, you may have
younger brothers, sisters, cousins,
other relatives, or friends whom
you care about. You’re an
important influence in helping the
development of their self-
acceptance.
36. Destiny can be defined as God's ordained plan or
desire for an individual. We must of course realize
that the plans of God concerning our life is good
and not of evil to bring us to an expected end. The
destiny of every individual differs depending on
how we allow God to shape it and our own
personal input.
The divine plan concerning an individual may
sometime become a mirage as various factors come
into play in the process of establishing the divine
mandate of God. Three major forces can shape an
individuals destiny- God, the Devil and the person
involved.
37. Since the creation of the world, God has always
been in the business of shaping life and fulfilling the
divine plan of God in the life of individuals. He does not
however force his plan or purpose on an individual. If
we allow him the room to operate, he definitely will
guide us into the deep secret of life and show us his
perfect mandate concerning our life.
The moment we accept the lordship of God over
our life, he deposits his spirit in us and this same spirit
helps to direct us in the perfect way to go about our
plans and purpose. The Holy Spirit also equips us with
spiritual gifts that can empower us towards achieving
our dreams and purpose in life.
38. The Devil is the direct opposite of God and his mandate is to kill, steal
and destroy the destiny of people. When the enemy discovers you have a huge
potential, he will try all the tricks in the books to ensure he puts a stop to your
progress in life.
How does he do this? What he simply does, is to create distraction in
the life of individuals by ensuring they lose focus of God's divine plan for their
life. He can bring in various forms of temptations into the path of the individual
and concern, and when such individual falls into the trap of the enemy, that
eventually marks the end of the journey towards divine fulfillment.
The enemy cannot however force himself on us except we allow him
to do so. There is the power of choice available to every individual. We have
the choice to refuse the bait of the enemy and follow the instructions of God
for our life. God has given us the power to put the Devil in check and when
such powers are exercised, it becomes impossible for the enemy to terminate
our divine plan and purpose in life.
39. The individual has a huge role to play in the fulfillment of
his/her dreams and purpose in life. The level of success or failure
achieved is a function of the choices and decisions we make in
life.
God will not come down from his throne in heaven to tell
us who to marry or the type of business we have to invest in.
There are various materials, books, tapes, mentors available at
our disposal and the ability to utilize these available resources
will determine the success or failure of such individual.
The Holy Bible is the best resources I would like to
recommend to any individual desirous of attaining his/her goal in
life. It contains all the wisdom, knowledge and resources we can
ever require to become fulfilled in life.
