Bactérias são organismos
unicelulares constituídos por
células procarióticas, que se
caracterizam por não ter
núcleo nem organelas
membranosas
citoplasmáticas.
Estrutura:
Possui a parede celular formada de
peptidioglicano (proteína + açúcar),
responsável pela forma e proteção.
DNA circular que fica concentrado em
uma região central denominada de
nucleoide.
Podem possuir plasmídeos (fragmentos
de DNA não essenciais que ajudam as
bactérias a adquirir novas
características). Estão associados a
resistência a antibióticos.
Podem possuir flagelos,
responsáveis pela locomoção
por meio de um movimento
rotacional.
Possuem ribossomos 70s,
que são menores que o dos
organismos eucariotos
(excelente alvo de
antibióticos).
Metabolismo
As bactérias autotróficas obtêm
átomos de carbono — a matéria-
prima básica para a produção de
moléculas orgânicas — a partir de
moléculas de gás carbônico (C02).
Essas bactérias podem ser
fotossintetizantes, quando a
fonte de energia para a síntese de
moléculas orgânicas é a luz, ou
quimiossintetizantes, quando
utilizam energia liberada em
reações químicas inorgânicas.
Metabolismo
As bactérias heterotróficas obtêm
átomos de carbono a partir de
moléculas orgânicas e podem, de
acordo com a origem do alimento, ser
classificadas em saprofágicas ou
parasitas.
Respiração celular
Quanto ao uso de oxigênio para a produção de energia, as
bactérias são classificadas em:
- Aeróbias obrigatórias: utilizam o O².
- Anaeróbias obrigatórias: não utilizam O², morrem na sua
presença.
- Anaeróbias facultativas: fazem fermentação, podem ou não
utilizar o O².
Reprodução
A reprodução das bactérias é assexuada por divisão binária, porém
existem os meios para ter variabilidade genética:
- Transformação: quando uma bactéria consegue incorporar um material
genético solto no ambiente.
- Conjugação: troca de plasmídeos entre bactérias, por meio de uma
estrutura denominada pili.
- Transdução: bacteriófagos (vírus que infectam bactérias) carregam
genes de uma bactéria para outra

Coloração de Gram
Técnica que permite classificar as bactérias em dois grupos, por meio da
análise das diferenças existentes na composição da parede celular. Quando
submetida à coloração de Gram, a parede celular das bactérias pode
adquirir coloração violeta ou vermelha.
As bactérias gram positivas
possuem a parede celular mais
simples e consequentemente
absorvem mais o corante
roxo, por conta do contato
direto com o mesmo. Este tipo
de bactéria é mais sensível a
penicilina, visto que este
medicamente que atinge os
peptideoglicanos.
As gram negativas por
possuírem uma dupla membrana
não permitem que o corante
atravesse facilmente a membrana
e alcance a parede celular de
peptideoglicano, ficando com uma
coloração mais clara.
Determinar se uma bactéria é gram-positiva ou
gram-negativa é importante para indicar, por
exemplo, que tratamento deve ser adotado em
caso de infecções. As bactérias gram-negativas,
por exemplo, são, em geral, mais resistentes aos
antibióticos que as gram-positivas.

  • 2. Bactérias são organismos unicelulares constituídos por células procarióticas, que se caracterizam por não ter núcleo nem organelas membranosas citoplasmáticas.

  • 4. Estrutura: Possui a parede celular formada de peptidioglicano (proteína + açúcar), responsável pela forma e proteção. DNA circular que fica concentrado em uma região central denominada de nucleoide. Podem possuir plasmídeos (fragmentos de DNA não essenciais que ajudam as bactérias a adquirir novas características). Estão associados a resistência a antibióticos.
  • 5. Podem possuir flagelos, responsáveis pela locomoção por meio de um movimento rotacional. Possuem ribossomos 70s, que são menores que o dos organismos eucariotos (excelente alvo de antibióticos).
  • 6. Metabolismo As bactérias autotróficas obtêm átomos de carbono — a matéria- prima básica para a produção de moléculas orgânicas — a partir de moléculas de gás carbônico (C02). Essas bactérias podem ser fotossintetizantes, quando a fonte de energia para a síntese de moléculas orgânicas é a luz, ou quimiossintetizantes, quando utilizam energia liberada em reações químicas inorgânicas.
  • 7. Metabolismo As bactérias heterotróficas obtêm átomos de carbono a partir de moléculas orgânicas e podem, de acordo com a origem do alimento, ser classificadas em saprofágicas ou parasitas.
  • 8. Respiração celular Quanto ao uso de oxigênio para a produção de energia, as bactérias são classificadas em: - Aeróbias obrigatórias: utilizam o O². - Anaeróbias obrigatórias: não utilizam O², morrem na sua presença. - Anaeróbias facultativas: fazem fermentação, podem ou não utilizar o O².

Reprodução A reprodução das bactérias é assexuada por divisão binária, porém existem os meios para ter variabilidade genética: - Transformação: quando uma bactéria consegue incorporar um material genético solto no ambiente. - Conjugação: troca de plasmídeos entre bactérias, por meio de uma estrutura denominada pili. - Transdução: bacteriófagos (vírus que infectam bactérias) carregam genes de uma bactéria para outra
  • 15. Coloração de Gram Técnica que permite classificar as bactérias em dois grupos, por meio da análise das diferenças existentes na composição da parede celular. Quando submetida à coloração de Gram, a parede celular das bactérias pode adquirir coloração violeta ou vermelha.
  • 16. As bactérias gram positivas possuem a parede celular mais simples e consequentemente absorvem mais o corante roxo, por conta do contato direto com o mesmo. Este tipo de bactéria é mais sensível a penicilina, visto que este medicamente que atinge os peptideoglicanos.
  • 17. As gram negativas por possuírem uma dupla membrana não permitem que o corante atravesse facilmente a membrana e alcance a parede celular de peptideoglicano, ficando com uma coloração mais clara.
  • 18. Determinar se uma bactéria é gram-positiva ou gram-negativa é importante para indicar, por exemplo, que tratamento deve ser adotado em caso de infecções. As bactérias gram-negativas, por exemplo, são, em geral, mais resistentes aos antibióticos que as gram-positivas.
