Hello!I’m Rebecca Roberts
I founded Thread & Fable to deliver marketing and
communications solutions that are creative, have impact
and make a difference but without hefty overheads, lots
of jargon and an extensive in-house team. I’ve built an
amazing network of freelancers, specialists and agencies
and it’s incredibly rewarding to help clients succeed by
ensuring the right skills are around the table.
Passionate about engaging youth audiences better, I
began compiling the Engaging Youth Reports and deliver
talks, workshops and projects specifically on this theme.

◈ Develop media pack for launch

“Rebecca helped us to develop, project manage and launch our Helping Not
Helping campaign in 2019, our biggest youth facing campaign to date. Working
collaboratively across our teams, external partners and agencies, she quickly got
to grips with how to amplify our message and connect it to our student,
education, travel and business audiences, with measurable calls to action. The
launch event at One Young World, was a huge success and the campaign has
proved successful, being named as a Finalist in the CIPR Excellence Awards in
2020

Interim and project-based support to deliver the Empower
Conference, research reports and day-to-day
communications consultancy and help to recruit the team.

Quickly develop a plan to
ensure all tickets were sold,
profile secured and deliver
event support throughout.
Deliver a European research
publication with print and
distribution plan for the
event.
Girls Active Awards
Manage the programme
partnership and deliver a
communications strategy and
event management of the
awards at the Houses of
Parliament.
Secure key ambassadors,
influencers and speakers and
manage the event itself.
Ensure stories were told
throughout the campaign
through the girls and their
schools involved in the awards.
Interim Support
As well as helping Women
in Sport recruit to the
communications team,
interim support was
delivered over several
months.
This involved support with
various projects the charity
works on, media support,
messaging work and leading
on two annual reports
sourcing stories and key
information and writing the
report throughout.

Hello!I’m Rebecca Roberts I founded Thread & Fable to deliver marketing and communications solutions that are creative, have impact and make a difference but without hefty overheads, lots of jargon and an extensive in-house team. I’ve built an amazing network of freelancers, specialists and agencies and it’s incredibly rewarding to help clients succeed by ensuring the right skills are around the table. Passionate about engaging youth audiences better, I began compiling the Engaging Youth Reports and deliver talks, workshops and projects specifically on this theme. 2

Manchester Metropolitan University Delivering a series of workshops and recommendations report on how the research institutes at the university could engage audiences through its communications channels. Projects & Workshops Youth Matters Workshops Delivering a sell-out workshop to communications professionals on how to better engage youth audiences, sharing research, delivering practical challenges and working through developing a communications strategy. These workshops have been delivered in- house, as a stand alone workshop and virtually. 11

  • 17. “Rebecca helped us to develop, project manage and launch our Helping Not Helping campaign in 2019, our biggest youth facing campaign to date. Working collaboratively across our teams, external partners and agencies, she quickly got to grips with how to amplify our message and connect it to our student, education, travel and business audiences, with measurable calls to action. The launch event at One Young World, was a huge success and the campaign has proved successful, being named as a Finalist in the CIPR Excellence Awards in 2020 Heather McCormick, Director of Communications, Lumos 17
  • 18. 4. WOMEN IN SPORT Interim and project-based support to deliver the Empower Conference, research reports and day-to-day communications consultancy and help to recruit the team. 18
  • 19. Project based marketing and communications support Empower Conference Quickly develop a plan to ensure all tickets were sold, profile secured and deliver event support throughout. Deliver a European research publication with print and distribution plan for the event. Girls Active Awards Manage the programme partnership and deliver a communications strategy and event management of the awards at the Houses of Parliament. Secure key ambassadors, influencers and speakers and manage the event itself. Ensure stories were told throughout the campaign through the girls and their schools involved in the awards. Interim Support As well as helping Women in Sport recruit to the communications team, interim support was delivered over several months. This involved support with various projects the charity works on, media support, messaging work and leading on two annual reports sourcing stories and key information and writing the report throughout. 19

SHARING YOUTH INSIGHT WITH MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS TEAMS Sharing Engaging Youth Reports in 2019 and 2020, workshops, talks and in-house training on how to better engaging youth audiences within marketing and communications. In autumn 2020 the Hear It podcast launches to share stories and ideas from organisations and brands doing great work. 23
