2. 2 CORINTHIANS 1:12
We can say with confidence and a
clear conscience that we have lived
with a God-given holiness and
sincerity in all our dealings.
We have depended on God’s grace,
not on our own human wisdom. That
is how we have conducted ourselves
before the world, and especially
toward you.
3. I. REAL PURITY
Purity is not only about sexual morality
but involves every part of your life.
Purity in your thoughts
Purity in your words
Purity in your actions
5. I. REAL PURITY
Sometimes we can fool people,
but we can never fool the Lord.
purity involves the outward (what men see),
and the inward (God alone can see)
6. II. FIRST STEP TO PURITY
First STEP to purity is to
acknowledge and confess our sins to God
When you set your mind to go after purity,
you need to identify the sins from which
you want your soul to be purified.
8. III. PURITY IN OUR MANNERS
our manners speak powerfully of our ministry
Our behavior proves the
validity and biblical authenticity
of what we are preaching.
9. III. PURITY IN OUR MANNERS
“our conduct toward others”
is an important principles of effective ministry
whether at home, in the church or outside
it’s the principle of being an example.
We can’t motivate or communicate to others
what WE DON’T DO OURSELVES.
11. IV. PURITY IN OUR THOUGHTS
Purity is not just an outward issue
but a heart issue.
Christ taught that a man committed adultery
simply by lusting after a woman (Matt 5:28).
12. IV. PURITY IN OUR THOUGHTS
Timothy regularly check his thoughts and
confess them to Christ (2 Cor 10:5).
He keep his mind and heart pure by avoiding
ungodly entertainment, practices, and
relationships.
14. IV. PURITY IN OUR THOUGHTS
PURITY begins in your thought life.
What you think determines how you live.
If you feed your thoughts daily on earthly
things on TV and social media and
you seldom feed on God’s Word,
you start to live a wordly life.
15. V. PURITY IN OUR WORDS
Our WORDS are powerful.
The Bible said
“death and life are in the power of the tongue”
(Proverbs 18:21).
Jesus warned that
“by your words you will be justified,
and by your words you will be condemned”
(Matthew 12:37).
16. V. PURITY IN OUR WORDS
Bible reminds us that harsh words and
unkind answers can lead to even more anger.
when we face people who are angry or
who seek a confrontation.
Our tendency is to argue or fight back.
17. V. PURITY IN OUR WORDS
learn to be careful when you speak and
ask God to help you control your words.
Remember that words can wound or heal,
tear down or build up.
19. VI. PURITY OF OUR MOTIVES
Their ministry is authentic and
free from cover ups.
Paul did not minister with impure motives
like personal ambition, pride, greed,
popularity or any self-centered pursuits.
They never resorted to human schemes or
strategies for accomplishing the work of God.
20. VI. PURITY OF OUR MOTIVES
As servants of God, we need to have the
general motive of pleasing God
and seeking our praise from God
rather than people,
21. VI. PURITY OF OUR MOTIVES
Pleasing people comes from wrong motives
such as fear of rejection,
desire for approval, power, praise,
and pride.
22. VI. PURITY OF OUR MOTIVES
When our primary aim is to please men,
we lose our capacity to please God.
Only when we seek to please God and
speak according to His Word,
do we truly have the capacity to
minister effectively to others.
24. VII. PURITY OF OUR MESSAGE
The Bible, because it is God’s Word,
is the most valuable resource we possess,
but it must be used and used wisely.
Truly, it is more valuable than gold
(Ps. 19:7-11).
25. VII. PURITY OF OUR MESSAGE
Many misuse the bible to be
politically correct,
to avoid criticism,
to be popular,
to entertain,
and to provide a feel good,
emotionally-oriented kind of sermon.
26. VII. PURITY OF OUR MESSAGE
there can be no true knowledge of God
apart from sound Bible teaching/preaching.
28. VIII. PURITY AND FAITHFULNESS
PURITY means faithfulness in transactions
If we say, we are going to do something,
we must fulfill it no matter what.
Our yes must mean yes
and our no must mean no.
29. Christians are saved through faith but sadly
most aren’t living by faith.
When they encounter difficulties,
instead of trusting God, they fret, worry,
and often quit.
VIII. PURITY AND FAITHFULNESS
PURITY means Faith in God
30. IX. PURITY AND DISCOURAGEMENT
Maintaining PURITY is HARD
We always stumble and fall
because temptation is everywhere.
What was evil before
– now become like normal
32. IX. PURITY AND DISCOURAGEMENT
See what kind of love the Father has given to us,
that we should be called children of God;
and so we are. 1 John 3:1
Who are you?
In Christ, you are a dearly loved child of God.
33. PURITY is evidenced by the way we live.
Peter says, a person devoted to the Lord
“does not live the rest of his earthly life
for evil human desires,
but rather for the will of God”
(1 Peter 4:2).
X. CONCLUSION
34. “Walk about in all aspect of your life
in a way worthy of God”
the Lord must be brought into everything we do
since we are servants and ambassadors of Christ
Whatever we do should be done to glorify Him.
X. CONCLUSION
35. XI. CHALLENGE
Are you currently involved in a sin and secretly
hoping that no one will discover what you’re doing?
DON’T BE A FOOL!
You will reap what you sow.
God, who called us to PURITY,
is able to make us PURE
if we will only submit to His instruction
and walk according to His WORD.
