Notes de l'éditeur
The growing number of travelers picking up their mobile devices rather than sitting at their desktop computers to book air travel or a hotel is a reality becoming more common each and every day.
The percentage of mobile travel bookings have grown for the past six consecutive quarters while desktop bookings continue on a downward slope.
On Google.com, mobile queries just within the travel category have increased more than 50%. This data reveals that year on year, people are increasingly using their phones to plan travel
Sales of travel products and services booked on mobile devices continue to grow, while desktop- and laptop-based sales decline in absolute terms.
Travel sales booked via PCs are expected to decline through at least 2019.
In her quest to plan this trip, Amy had 419 digital moments in just two months. She made 34 searches, watched 5 videos, and made 380 web page visits. And 87% of these moments happened on mobile.
If your brand isn't there for the moments that mattered in this journey, you missed out on Amy. And the same goes for all potential customers. Today's travelers are turning to the web to be inspired and take action—and the brands that help them at those moments will win hearts, minds, and dollars.
Google says micro-moments are the “critical touch points within today’s consumer journey, and when added together, they ultimately determine how that journey ends.”

Since Google AdWords removed its right-hand side ads and brought in an occasional fourth paid ad position for ‘highly commercial’ search terms, this fourth ad appears for nearly one-quarter of all search topics.
Mobile makes up 88% of all "near me" searches, with those mobile searches growing at 146% year over year.
Data from Hotels.com states that 74% of mobile bookings are made for same-day check-in.
Keep subject lines under 30 characters.
iPhones will cut off a subject line over 32 characters.
Use pre-headers. Pre-header text is a critical component your subscribers consider to decide whether or not they open your campaign and engage with your content.
This is a valuable opportunity to “sell” why your subscriber should actually open and read your email. Keep pre-headers between 40-50 characters.
