Major Accomplishments:
Partnership for Drug Free Kids, 1990 to 2015
1. Worked successfully with top corporate leaders over past 25 years:
 James E. Burke, former Chairman, Johnson and Johnson, 1976-1989;
 Roy Bostock, formerChairman of Yahoo! Inc., Member, Board of Directors, Delta Airlines and Morgan
Stanley;
 Pat Russo, former Chair, Alcatel-Lucent; current Board Member: Merck; General Motors; Alcoa; and
Hewlett-Packard.
2. Fundraising – worked closely with Board and staff of Partnership to raise more than $100 million from
individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
3. Achieved 25 consecutive years of clean audits from independent, outside auditors – neither material internal
control weaknesses nor significant accounting deficiencies noted.
4. Government funding – worked closely with program staff to secure more than $15 million in government
funding from the US Department of Justice, US Department of Treasury, and US Department of Health and
Human Services.
5. Office relocation – assumed leadership role in moving the Partnership from the Chrysler Building to the
current location at 352 Park Avenue South, in New York, resulting in a savings of more than $6 million over
the life of the new lease.
Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies, 1978-1990
1. Worked closely with Sales/Marketing executives at Johnson & Johnson Patient Care, aiding in the
achievement of 10% growth in sales volume in a highly competitive health care/hospital market.
2. Led a team charged with identifying the root causes of returned goods and price adjustments, which had a
cost of $5 million. Working closely with the field sales force and using “the quality improvement process,”
customer satisfaction levels were increased significantly as returned goods and price adjustments were
reduced by more than 25%.
3. Designed and implemented an automated sales reporting and contract administration system that tracked
more than 5,000 hospital/distributor contracts. New systems resulted in annual cost savings of more than
$500,000.
4. Participated in the development and launch of the Acuvue contact lens business in Europe; presented
business plans to European and Latin American Managing Directors highlighting cash investment required,
start-up costs and ROI opportunities.
5. Developedandcoordinated plansto move manufacturing process for intraocular lensbusinessfromCalifornia
to Scotland; took advantage of tax saving opportunities and made recommendations to Executive
Management to invest $2 million in this project, which resulted in a cash payback in less than three years.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, 2003 to present
 Responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Office Services and Information Technology
with five direct reports and one college intern.
 Led strategic planning process, working closely with outside consultants to design high-level three-year
organization goals and detailed operating plans for major programs.
 Prepare all governmentgrant reportingincludingmonthlycash, quarterlyfinancial reports,budgetsand close-
out reporting; $15 million in government grants over the past ten years.
 Prepare all financial reports for internal management, Finance Committee and Board of Directors; manage an
annual operating budget of approximately $9 million.
 Interface with investment managers from Alliance Bernstein, as well as financial advisors from Mercer to
manage a $10 millionreserve fund, which requires reviewing asset allocations, evaluating fund performance,
and preparing investment policies.
 Responsible for maintaining the highest level of public trust and financial transparency.
o Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance – compliance with 20 standards of good governess,
financial expertise, donor stewardship, and program effectiveness.
o Charity Navigator – Four-Star rating, highest level achieved by not-for-profits.
o GuideStar Exchange - Silver Participant.
 HR Responsibities
o Worked hand-in-hand with the HR Director to create office policies, employee handbook, employee
benefits program including financial procedures and internal controls, and salary compensation
guidelines for up to 50 employees.
Vice President/Financial Director, 1990 to 2003
 Responsible for all accounting systems and financial reporting using outside consultants.
 Worked hand-in-hand with Board Chair James E. Burke to raise $60 million dollars from the Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation (RWJF) to support the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign; drug use among teens
was significantly reduced by more than 20% during this campaign.
 Set up deferred tax retirement plan for all employees; currently plan administrator with 45 participants and
more than $6 million in assets.
 Set up employee compensation policy and system to conform to IRS guidelines; also designed incentive
compensation system to recognize outstanding performance.
 Responsible for audits conducted by outside auditors, the IRS and major donor RWJF.
Johnson & Johnson Patient Care
Financial Marketing Manager, 1987 – 1990
 Provided financial support for the VP of Marketing and the sales organization; responsible for tracking,
forecasting and analyzing sales of $225 million.
 Responsible for monitoring and analyzing sales and marketing budgets in excess of $20 million, involving 200
sales and marketing professionals.

International Finance Manager, 1980 – 1987
 Provided financial expertise to International Executive Directors and Senior Operating Executives; financial
responsible for 16 J&J medical products divisions in Europe, Canada, and Australia.
 Prepared operating company forecasts for US management review to determine accuracy, achievability and
compliance with corporate financial objectives.
 Made recommendations to merge fledgling divisions in Spain, England and Germany into larger operating
