PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
June, 2007 - Established R.D. Aistrope Pty.Ltd. based in Bowral, NSW as Managing Director to take over
the consulting practice trading as Aistrope Engineers and continuing to provide design and
advisory services in civil and structural engineering for institutional, commercial, industrial
and residential buildings and for rail and road bridgeworks, roads, subdivisions and
general civil engineering works.
1999 - 2007 Re-established Aistrope Engineers Pty.Ltd. in Bowral, NSW offering services in civil and
structural engineering for institutional, commercial, industrial and residential buildings
and for rail and road bridgeworks and general civil engineering works.
1996 - 1999 Manager of the Sydney Office and New South Wales operations of Cullen Grummitt & Roe
(NSW) Pty.Ltd. responsible for management of the practice, business development and

Built the practice up from one engineer and two draftsmen to four engineers, a construction
manager, three drafters and support staff, moved the business to more modern office space,
introduced fully computerised design and drafting operation, doubled turnover and
produced substantial profit over three years.
1984 - 1995 Established and operated Aistrope Engineers Pty.Ltd. from May, 1984, providing consulting
services in the fields of civil and structural engineering and project management specialising
in domestic, commercial and industrial buildings and land development and in investigations
and reports throughout south-eastern New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
1983 - 1984 From September, 1983 to May, 1984 - Senior Engineer in Canberra Office of Cameron
McNamara Pty.Ltd. (subsequently Kinhill Engineers Pty.Ltd. and now Kellogg Brown and
Root (KBR)) responsible for land development in the ACT and work search in country NSW.
1979 - 1983 From August, 1979 to September, 1983 - Senior Engineer and Joint Manager of Cameron
McNamara Kramer Pty.Ltd. (now part of KBR) in its Papua New Guinea practice.
Responsible for all civil and structural engineering design work undertaken in the office,
local coordination of projects carried out off-shore, liaison with private and government
clients and authorities and architects, work search, preparation of proposals and reports
and management of the business.
1978-1979 From November 1978 to August 1979 - civil engineer in Central Region of Queensland
Electricity Generating Board located in Rockhampton providing civil engineering services to
the transmission development and operations sections.
1978 From April 1978 to November 1978 - consultant resident engineer and construction
supervisor engaged by Cameron, Chisholm and Nicol Pty.Ltd., Architects and Engineers, for
the construction of a warehouse and office complex at Dry Creek, South Australia.
1978 From January to April, 1978 - contract designer with Hosking Fargher and Oborn Pty.Ltd.,
Consulting Engineers in Adelaide involved in design and documentation of residential
subdivisions, Noarlunga Regional Shopping Centre car parks, preliminary design of sewerage
and water supply for relocation of Leigh Creek Township in Far North of South Australia.
