Excellent
Stages in the
lesson
Cristian stated the lesson aims and he provided a very
nice warm-up, interacting with classmates and asking
them questions about their pets. Be careful with timing,
though (40-minute lesson).
Emanuel presented the vocabulary about animals.
Luján presented the song and encouraged students to
sing.
Rodrigo was in charge of the follow-up activities.

Be careful with pronunciation of “rhino”.
Very good use of intonation to convey meaning.
Teacher’s stance Excellent. Your enthusiasm is catching. You show an
excellent sense of humour, patience and you smile at all
times.
Body language Excellent and this means you do not need to use
translation as a resource.
Use of your voice Very Good
Team work Cristian should try not to overlap with his classmates,
even if he is meant to help his teacher learner peers.

Use of English Excellent but try not to overuse translation. For example,
“cow” “flashcard + sound” = translation was not really
necessary.
When you ask questions try to keep them simple, e.g:
what animal can you see there? Replaced by: What is
this? Is it a cat? Use simpler structures.
Pronunciation and
Intonation
Very good but try to foster repetition in pupils.
Teacher’s stance You need to gain more self confidence. You felt a bit
insecure and relied too much on Cristian.
Excellent teaching of values. You praised students for
adopting animals. You said “be kind to them”.
Body language Good but it could be improved.
Use of your voice Very good.
