2. RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Contestants must at least 21 years of age and able to provide proof of age. If you do not currently
have a state issued identification card, you will not be able to compete.
2. The use of, or dispensing of illegal drugs or marijuana will not be tolerated by anyone
participating in the contest, the night of, or thereafter as an award winner. Immediate
disqualification will result for those that violate the rules and removal from the venue.
3. The Mr. & Miss Round-Up contest does not discriminate against entertainers with silicone and/or
hormones. The use of silicone and/or hormones will not be considered by any judge in the scoring
of contestants.
4. Any contestant, dancer, assistants, dressers, etc. who is caught in the act of stealing or tampering
with another person’s possessions will be immediately disqualified and removed from the contest
and the venue.
5. Any type of talent presentation is acceptable, except those that may cause injury to the audience,
judge, staff, or other persons. No excessive glitter may be used in any talent. No live animals,
food or water, other liquids, fire, or other damaging or dangerous items will be allowed on the
main floor for talent or any other category.
6. Talent presentation will be limited to seven (7) minutes. Prop set-up and strike time will be
limited to three (3) minutes total. If you exceed the time limit, a score of 0 will result.
7. Space is limited in the dressing room (Game Room), please share with other contestants. Be
considerate of other’s space, costumes, clothes, props, etc. Contestants and Guest Entertainment
will share the same dressing room. Following the contest, please remove all your items promptly
and dispose of any trash.
8. Please fill out the application accurately and neatly. By submitting the application you agree to
and understand all the rules and regulations of this contest and the venue. Please follow any
instructions given by the staff and management.
CATEGORIES
PRESENTATION - The presentation will be a judged category and also serve as a “Parade of
Contestant” at the beginning of the contest. During this category you will present yourself to the judges
and the audience and then introduce yourself to them on the microphone, center stage. The music during
this category will be selected by the venue and be for ‘walking’ purposes only. There are no set rules for
dress in this category, but western wear is preferred.

3. CREATIVE / FANTASY WEAR - Creative wear is for the Miss contestants and fantasy wear is for the
Mr. contestants. These can cross over if you wish to incorporate both. Fantasy wear should be a choice of
attire that suits you and your personality. This should be relative to the image that you are trying to
present to the judges, they should not have to ask what you are projecting. There is no set theme for
creative wear and contestants will be judged on creativity, fit, ability to model, and overall effectiveness
of the creative wear. You will be judged only on the costume / attire that you are wearing. You are can
provide music for this category on CD, no digital formats can be accepted. If music is not submitted, none
will be played.
EVENING GOWN / FORMAL WEAR - Evening gown is for the Miss contestants and formal if for the
Mr. contestants. Miss contestants will be judged one at a time in a full length evening gown. It may be of
any color, style, or fashion. Judging will be on gown selection, fit, hair, makeup, accessories, poise,
modeling ability, and general appearance. Formal wear for the Mr. contestants should suit your
personality and general appearance. The attire should portray a natural western look and feel. Each
person’s definition of western varies; please select the best for you. Pay particular attention to detail in
this category. Be sure that everything coordinates from your clothing, boots, hat, and accessories. The
music will be selected by the venue and will be country western.
TALENT - The talent category will be judged in a talent of their choice. It may be any type that will not
put themselves or the audience in danger. Judging will be on entertainment value, costuming, makeup,
sound quality, and effectiveness of props and /or dancers, if used. If you have props, you will have a
limited about time to set-up and strike, please be sure you have assistants for this and any clean up that
may result. You must supply your own music for this category on CD, no digital formats can be accepted.
PRIZES AND AWARDS
The following prizes will be awarded to the winners of both Mr. & Miss. Certificates will be given for
each category winner in both Mr. & Miss. Cash is only awarded the first place winners.

ADDITIONAL INORMATION
Please note that this contest does automatically qualify the winners to advance to other pageant systems.
This contest is for promotional and fund-raising purposes only.
Registration will begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 and end at 8:30 PM. There is no entry
fee for this contest. Contestants will draw for order at 8:45 PM. The contest will start promptly at 9:00
PM. The dressing room will be available starting at 5:00 PM the day of the contest.
